OK I went out to buy december's bus card, I swear I only walked five minutes, and I was freezing to death! It's presently -20 C ! I ain't going out of the house for sure.

I think he is a good actor, he is just a weird person. I think he is one of the best actors, actually, of recent times. Did you see him in Lions for Lambs? The character is annoyingly self-righteous and idealistic, but he plays it so well.

I bought some new Dress pants on Friday. Put them on this morning, and the zipper split when I sat down to put my socks on and the zipper split...

It started out to be a long Sunday...

 

I lost my keys again, and my cellphone too (which I have been lucky enough to recover by now). As a result I had one of the most "interesting" weekends of my life. A whole bunch of ups and downs along the way. I was dead tired upon returning home yesterday evening and probably have managed to catch the cold. Hopefully things will have calmed down now. The keys are still missing and I'll have to check with the police if some kind person would have returned them there. I'm not overly bothered about this though, the disaster was just waiting to happen and I really should have known better.

Note to self: NEVER EVER trust the pockets of your student overalls.

 

Wow, my dad is pissed off.

I went over to his house after work to shovel the snow off the walkway...which the neighbor already did with his fancy snow blower...I also checked on his pond in the backyard, only to find it almost completely empty. Apparently, my uncle hadn't been watching it like he was supposed to, and didn't notice the overflowing waterfall...

So the wife and I spent about 3 hours filling and hauling 50 gallon trash cans of water from the kitchen sink out to the pond to try and keep his fish from dying. After 3 hours, there was only about 2 feet of water in the pond...but we were too tired, cold, wet, and dirty to fill it any more. It usually takes about 8+ hours to completely fill it, and there's no way in hell I'm wasting that much time on a screw up I didn't cause. Oh, and before any of you ask the obvious...the hose has frozen solid, and yes, I *did* try to un-freeze it, but with no luck.

After all that work, I'm going to be pissed off if his damn fish die anyway.

I'm getting into bad sleeping teritory again. Generally this means that I need some change in my life.

 

My upgraded computer is up and running and it is very nice! I have not used it much yet but I can now run NWN2 with the top end of the graphics options instead of the bottom end. It will be interesting to see if Medieval II runs smoother.

Now all I have to do is copy all of the stuff from my two old 100 GB hard drives over to my new 750 GB hard drive.

 

We received about 20 cm of snow last night, the trip to the college wasn't fun, worse I've found out the damn class has been cancelled. Grrrr!

 

Rain last night, temp in 50's, clear this morning, 34 and dropping. Must be East Tennessee in December.

No joy here in Mudville, TN, now that UT lost in the SEC championship and the crazy BCS put the victor LSU in the national championship game. I do not care. I think those who do care are around the bend.

ION my cold is better. And in still other news they are trying, again, to install the replacement stove in my house, but I've got to work and can't be there - so I just hop there are no catastrophes.

If I couldn't babble I guess I'd just . . . babble in RL and get committed, I suppose.
