Mine is definitely tea. I usually have between 12-20 cups of tea a day. If I don't have one for a while, I get a bit mardy and cranky. They're just the ultimate thing for me. They chill me out, make me feel better and warm me up.

I do other things quite heavily, but I wouldn't say I'm addicted to them. Alcohol I LOVE big time, but I can do without for a few days (I used to be really bad with beer though, I've curbed that lately). I enjoy smoking, but I go a few days without having a fag and not even realise I've done it... so I'd say I'm not addicted to tobacco.

Well, good for you on fending off the 'Big Guys' of alcohol and tobacco; maybe the caffeine addiction is keeping them at bay? ;)

For me, I'd say I'm almost addicted to chocolate - I'm like Barmy with booze or smokes in that I LIKE to have it, and it makes me feel better, but I can go a while without it.

But truly, I am addicted to the Internet; I'm on here every day, before and after work; my office chair gets more contact with my body than my bed (or my wife :( ); I've got a raft of webcomics that makes my favourites sub-menu (webcomics get their own list) so long it SCROLLS, I frequent newgrounds, youtube, wikipedia, SP and about five other forum sites daily. And if I'm not doing that, or playing my current whimsy of a game (re-visiting Morrowind at the moment), I'm trawling the nether corners of the World Wide Web for interesting stuff. (it may look like I'm only an infrequent poster here, but that's only because I'm busy somewhere else.)

Now all that sounds fine, doesn't it? But here's the kicker - last week most of Newfoundland lost power due to a vicious wind storm; my neighbourhood was down for a couple of hours in the evening.

The wife looked at the dead TV, started gathering and lighting candles, and pulled out a book. I had a novel I was currently reading, but I was distracted and fidgety; I couldn't concentrate on my book - despite me getting the good emergency light that lit the page nicely. I realized I REALLY wanted to be online. And as soon as the power was stably on (we saw the lights pop back on for five minutes half-way through the outage, and wisely did nothing, and then waited ten minutes before turning stuff on) I was into my fora blabbing about my 'hardship'.

"Hello, my name is Jaded E., and I have a problem..." :bad:

Used to be coffee, now it's tea, about 7 pints a day. And Baldur's Gate.

This might sound a little strange to anyone who doesn't play an instrument, but I'm addicted to guitar playing as well. It's an hour/day or my hands start trembling.

I want to say up front that this isn't a joke post. I'm addicted to eating. If I start eating, I will scrounge for food all day.

    I'm a sugarfree Jolt addict.

I drink so much of the stuff I seriously considered buying shares in the company.

Coffee, tea (I feel thirsty if I don't gulp a cup of hot tea with lemon down my throat), law (I can't imagine being outside my learnt profession), coding - I'm sick if I don't code anything for a longer time and sometimes I just need to code anything just to be coding. Contact with computers... I guess yeah, same Internet. You can't do it so long and so often and the suddenly put it on hold. Also, English. I need to speak or write English a lot or I feel bad. This probably because when I had more free time, most of my activity was in English. I think I'm also experiencing some withdrawal symptoms from not teaching any more - I liked teaching Latin and English when I did. Some things just run in my veins, you know.

Milk and mineral water. Definitely addicted to milk, it's so good. I easily drink 3 litres a day. Although it cracks me up a bit when I'm in the grocery store and I only buy 10 litres of milk and 3 litres of mineral water, if we have enough food but not milk.
And since most people at my area shops at the same local grocery, I've gotta wonder what do they make out my choice of beverages.

Reading. I like to read very much. If I don't have anything else to read, I'll even read paper ads when the mood hits me :p.

Yes. I didn't eat anything on Thursday. Friday I ate 2 pieces of pizza. Today, I started stuffing my face with 2 bowls of oatmeal, 6 pancakes, 4 sausages, a loaf of whole wheat bread, 200g of Pepperidge Farm goldfish, 2 250g bags of Doritos, a 2lb bag of M&Ms, a cheese sandwich, 1 box of macaroni and cheese, my hubby's package of 24 chocolate chip cookies, 28 pieces of winterfresh gum (some swallowed, some spit out), a can of Chinese noodles, 24 cheesy breadsticks with dipping sauce and a can of pineapple flavoured Crush soda pop.

Of course, I've only been awake for 6 hours or this list would be twice as long.

Like Barmy, I need at least 2 litres of tea per day, lest I become very tired. I used to drink only black tea with milk and honey for over ten years, but I half switched to pure green tea recently.

Well over the span of half a dozen years I've been addicted to a number of things, not the least of which being drink and smokes. I'm still a slave to drink, albeit not as badly as I used to be, and have managed to kick the smokes at long last and a few of my other nasties. Also caffeine is a big one, I get horrendous headaches if I don't have any for a couple of days. Overall I've pretty much kicked them all except the alcohol and caffeine, but working on the alcohol next :p

I wonder if I may be addicted to games and the internet. Either that or I've become so tied into a routine that I am uncomfortable when I don't get to do my e-mail, or some of the sites I'm a regular on in a day...

    Maybe I'm addicted to routine?

hmmm, I've thought maybe lollies, games, the net, or facebook, but I've been able to go several weeks without them on occasions (and without any withdrawal symptoms)...so i guess I just like them ^.^. Exercise maybe, I don't usually go a day without shooting a few hoops, going for a run, lifting some weights or going for a paddle. On the odd occasion I don't I'm either incredibly ill (which doesn't happen very often at all) or up to my eyeballs in study (much more likely) and in both instances I hate it, I just want to go outside an sprint somewhere. Probably not the worst addiction in the world come to think about it.

The sound of my own voice. I start to go threw withdrawals after a few hours without excessive vocalization (it isn't communication). I'm all about getting that next fix.

Caffeine, the internet (this site in particular), BG2 along with other games, and my wife (we're on year #2 of marriage and I still can't get enough of her! :yum: ).

I drink at least 4 cans of Mt. Dew per day....that's 48oz...which is actually less than how much I was drinking a few years ago. :rolling:

I drink four 32 oz (nearly one litre) cans of Jolt in a day... I even go up to six cans sometime.
