Ah, Son, only you could come up with something like this. Two years? Who was crazier> Her or her boyfriend for letting her sit there for two years. Hope he had a second bathroom.

I would have let her starve and if that didn't work called for help or physically removed her from the bathroom and then called for help.

There are some aspects of the boyfriend/girlfriend relationship that sitting on a toilet would interfere with. I would not be very patient with this woman. I would have physically removed her and sent her packing.

Edit: Thank God there were no pictures.

You can call me judgemental if you like, but there is something seriously, SERIOUSLY wrong with both this woman and her boyfriend. 2 years? I'd be calling Happy Acres Rest Home to send out the men in white coats after 2 days of that sort of behaviour. Talk about an "enabler". Didn't she have any friends other than the boyfriend? If I were a cop or a reporter in that area I'd be asking a lot of questions, and my first one would be "did he FORCE her to stay there somehow?" I mean, who in their right mind would just sit their until their "legs appeared to have atrophied"?

Actually, scratch that -- my first question would be "is this a frigging JOKE?"

I remember hearing about this when it happened in March, lol... Yeah, there's something strange going on there in Kansas.

Maybe it was a really bad case of agoraphobia...or maybe she just had a really good, really long book in there

It could even be that for 2 years the boyfriend didn't realise there was no loo roll in there!

I hope they had a spare toilet...

You'd have to be pretty weird to stay on a bathroom for two years, I reckon. I mean...seriously. And it'd stink really, really bad. Especially since she wouldn't have showered.

If I was that woman's boyfriend, I'd have cheated on her. Not that it would go down well:
"Hey honey, let's make out at your house."
"Sure, just don't go to the bathroom."
    "Why? What's in there?"
    "Uh...my ex."

He said he brought her food and water -- maybe he brought in a hose and washed her down? Who knows?

I'd say the agoraphobia guess is a good one -- either that or some other form of serious mental disorder. I feel bad a bit for mocking the situation, as it is not nice to make fun of the handicapped. But this is so bizarre that it's difficult not to find some humor in it, if only to stop yourself from crying at how much some people suffer needlessly.

Uh, actually, as I recall, she was committed to a mental health facility and after being charged with neglect of a dependent person, so was he.

More to be pitied than whatever, I guess.

Yeh that would end any and all hope of a relationship.
