Please consider this entire thread to be one big spoiler

    1. Was there any way to get the giant spider to help you in the seige? I know he moved into Crossroad Keep, but he just seemed happy to sit in the dungeon eating bugs. I would have loved to see him spraying webs at the siege towers.

    2. The battle with Black Garius was such a pain in the ass. My fighters kept get stuck behind the force walls and then I couldn't do anything. It probably took me four retries to win that fight

    3. The second final battle against the mini-king of shadows was a major pain. After that the final final battle was kind of easy.

    4. I wasn't a big fan of the ending. I liked the slide show (very TOEE), but I wasn't thrilled that everyone in my party is implied to be dead. I was really hoping to see what the offspring of my tiefling would look like with Elannee.

    5. I didn't use most of the NPCs. Then having them show up at the final battles was a pain as I had to level them all up to 20 and pick their spells. I then found out I had a couple of them that were basically naked as they had no gear. If I ever replay, I'm going to have to remember to equip them.

    6. I was sad that Neeshka and Qara betrayed me. Considering I had them, pretty much the entire game I was disappointed that somehow I was stuck with Sand. Anyone who didn't see Bishop turning on you was naive.

    7. Rumor has it that Little Snook got me the 1st expansion pack for Hanukkah. I'll be back in a month or so with new questions. :D

    Here is my comments then:

    1. Unfortunately no. But as you probably already discovered, Kistrel the Spider makes a nice cloak for you.

    2. Yeah the walls close pretty fast. But you should be able to get 1 or 2 of your fastest fighters, like yourself, or Khelgar as Monk, past the walls to the sides. It's a good idea that someone can pummel on Garius so he can't get to the portal and regenerate. But bombarding him with high damage spells can work too, if you hurt him fast.

    3. The battle against the mini-KoS is easy if you use the Ritual Powers. Especially the Web of Purity from Ammon Jerro, which capture the mini-KoS. When they are captured you can use Cleansing Nova which will damage all mini-KoS captured in the web. And you can recharge the powers from the statues around you.

    4. You can find out what happened to the companions in MotB and SoZ. MotB is continued with the same char from the OC.

    5. Yeah I usually equip most of them. You don't exactly lack gold near the end.

    6. It's a matter of Influence with them. As you said, Bishop is a sure bet concerning who will betray you, but you can make him walk out of there with a Influence check or a speech skill check. Neeshka won't betray you if your Influence is high enough and you say you need her. Either Sand or Qara will betray you, depending on who you have the highest Influence with. They are opposite coins, and not exactly fond of each other as you know.

    7. Have fun then. I think you will enjoy MotB. :)

Crap, I think I missed out on the cloak or I just don't remember it. I may have to fire it back up just to find out. I'm guessing I somehow have to talk to him?

Here is a followup question. Is there any way to edit or add skills that the characters have. I know you can use the console to add and remove feats, but I couldn't figure out how to do with the skills. I'm curious because of

In act III when you have to cross the stream in West Harbor. It looks like you are supposed to take the logs and repair the bridge. Since I was playing a fighter character I didn't put any points into crafting so I "Held my nose, and yelled hear goes" (bonus points if you know what that is from) and ran into the water.

    Here is my answers:

Yes but you can talk to Kistrel the Spider without there is any requirements to class, race or speechskills when it is in the CK Basement. The spider use gestures so just click on it and you will get the meaning.

After some time it will tell you it is working on something for you. And after a while again you get the cloak.

The cloak gives you Darkvision, Freedom of movement and Spell Resistance 10. While there is better out there, it's a pretty good cloak IMHO.

The only way to edit skills is to use the console to delevel and relevel your char, I'm afraid. :(

You need to have +14 in one of the Crafting skills to repair the bridge.

But you can actually do it without having any points assigned to Crafting skills.

Buy the Greater Gloves of Artificer at Nya in Port Llast. They gives you +6 to all Crafting skills. Have Grobnar along and let him use his inspiration Inspire Competence. That gives you +4 to +6 to skills depending on what level Grobnar has. Finally let Grobnar or another caster cast Greater Heroism on you, which gives +4 to all skills checks. Those buffs stack, and voila, you can repair the bridge.

Otherwise you can just do as you did, take the CON damage. If you help Danan Starling against the shadow who pretends to be his mother, you get an item that removes your CON damage.
