WEll, just one small gathering tomorrow night and New Years eve. Still holding at 303 lbs, so I may not hit 300 by New Years, but I can still get to 275 for Summer.

 

Nice Gnarff, I like your attitude about the weight loss. I know for me it is tough to get the willpower to do any exercise and is thus difficult to get my body the way I want.

 

Hmmm thinking about crackers and crab dip right now. Probably won't be seeing any soon though.

My wake up alarm howled through the house early this morning (heard it through two closed doors) since I forgot to turn it off when school ended.

After hunting it down (a rather hilarious and unsuccessful enterprise) I decided to go back to sleep, which was probably not the wisest decision, given that it's 11am now...

Bah. I went to sleep at about 10am yesterday (however I had not slept all night, so I MAY of had an advantage )

 

Kit, I would suggest keeping your new slippers out of feline reach when they're not on your feet.

ION, I am off work for the next week, since I work at two colleges that are both closed for winter break.

 

There are no glass New Year/Christmas tree decorations to be found in the city. A few years back there were dozens of stalls selling them, now all they have are some plastic/styropore/unidentified substance decorations, which all look more or less the same.

I want glass decorations! (balls, drops, stars, snowflakes, etc) with beautiful hand drawn patterns on them, and also, I want back the sorrow I felt when I would drop and break some of them. I want that feeling of unique beauty each of them possesed.

What happened to those lovely things?

 

Yes, I see the problem. And as for keeping things like slippers away from cats, Stefanina, there's just no way.

Well I remember the time, lo these many years ago, when my parents couldn't find the cat for a couple of days. Finally my mother had a reason to open the middle bureau drawer, and the cat unfolded himself languidly, yawning as if he hadn't been without food or water for two days, and jumped out to pace in a dignified fashion to the food bowl.

ION, it has turned sunny and seasonable here, after a week of pendulum swing weather.

 

Yep, although I cheat. I love my cat, but I am allergic, so she cannot go into my bedroom. So, anything I want to keep away from her goes there.
But, I have trained her to stay off eating and food prep surfaces. I can leave an entire raw salmon fillet on the table, walk away for 30 minutes, and come back to it undisturbed. For the curious, yes I did put this to the test (accidentally) one day. There was nary a nibble or stray hair nearby, it was completely undisturbed.
Now then, that's the only thing I've managed to get through her thick kitty skull...

ION, I used my mother's glucometer to test my blood sugar today, it was 68. Oops, guess I should eat more.

 

I went cold turkey on energy drinks. I had forgotten how awful it was.

 

Sister went to the hospital today due to some postnatal problem, I'm not quite sure what happened to her, apparently it's about something wrong in her Uterus. It's not life threatening but she won't attend the annual new year eve party and, obviously, neither will my niece

Thing is, she have birth the 18th November so, why now?

I should've payed more attention in my Biology class in High School instead of (ironically enough) skip classes to met my girlfriend I did some sort of Biology, no?

There is nowhere and nothing our cats can't get in to. They learned how to open drawers and cupboards, and they can open the closet doors... I found one of them in the cupboard above the fridge once...we used to keep the catnip up there. We've had to "cat proof" our house so they can't get in to places we don't want them. Last week, I heard a fidgety noise coming from the kitchen and sure enough all 3 of them were trying to figure out how to open one of the cupboards.
