Contacts are awesome. Except color contacts. Wear color contacts for a day and you'll want to tear your eyes out... the dryness...! Think of wearing regular contacts for three straight days, and that's how color contacts feel at half the day.

 

I've had glasses since the tender age of 8 or 9 years old. I am so blind without my glasses it's ridiculous. I have to squint like crazy to be able to read a sign like two feet away from me...

I tried lenses... Well, try is a big word. I have them. Only after the half-hour it took me with the optometrist to actually put it in my eye, I kinda lost interest... lol

 

I'm supposed to wear glasses but I don't, as my prescription gives me a headache and I passed the drivers eye test without the things.

 

I've had glasses since I was 7 or 8. I started wearing contacts just last year...and I hate them! I want laser eye surgery soooooo bad!

The only cool thing about contacts is that you can soak them in a UV dye overnight, so your eyes glow when you're at the club!

 

First weekend this month without me working Saturday overtime, and how do I spend my Friday night? Texting two high school girls while sitting alone in my apartment. Summer ended.

 

I've had glasses since the age of five, and got contacts at the age of sixteen. The level of myopia and astigmatism restrict me to gas permeable lenses, so that phase only lasted a few years.
It's amazing how well I can operate without my glasses, though. I've got amazing compensation abilities.

ION, I love this spider. It build a dome shaped web, perched itself on top of it, upside down and doesn't seem to have a care in the world.
Sort of reminds me of the whole killing floor part of Johnny Mnemonic...

 

I wear plano coloured contacts, have gold ones, aqua and purple ones. Wanted more pairs so I could mix and match them

I REALLY REALLY want to find Chaos Star contacts! I can't find them anywhere! Used to be able to see them years ago but now *poof* they've disappeared!

 

Been using contacts for more than a year now, they're great

 

I can't use contacts. I have a strong involuntary flinch whenever something comes near my eyes.

Not that I mind. I like my glasses

 

I had a friend who had contacts that had the shape of a feline pupil. Man it was weird the first time I saw it...

 

8, there's a shop near here that does all the freaky contacts, I'll keep an eye out (no pun intended ) for you

 

Went to a casino with the roommate today. Doubled my money so I feel pretty good (after tips). Meanwhile my roommate kept winning 'bad beat' bets that pay 25:1 or 15:1 odds and made himself $200 dollars or so (he put in $300 total). He also made the dealers about $100 off of big slick bets.

 

Can't remember exactly when I got glasses- quite some time ago now. Started wearing contacts during sports soon after- trying to trampoline with glasses on isn't a great idea.

 

@Lore - sounds like that spider needs to have its first (and last) encounter with hair spray and a lighter...

In other news, the clothes I'm wearing match the cat who's sleeping on my lap...weird.

I've never been able to pick my favourite character on Discworld (it has always been a dead race between Vetinari, Vimes and Luggage), up until now anyway.
But Vetinari. Definitely Vetinari. Man is beyond brilliant.

 

Oh, indeed. I'd add Death to the interesting list, but Vetinari is also my favourite.
