Have moved house today.

Left the only place I've ever felt at home to having both of us and all our stuff in two rooms.

We're too tired to sort anything out. We have the mattress on the floor and have to clamber to get anywhere else

 

Extra babies = Nachos

It's my sisters first time out racing today! Had to botch the engine on the car though but fingers crossed she'll do well

 

I am drinking a beer that quite aptly is named Salvator.

Robs first race went well, he came in 3rd. Amy went out, got to the start line and the battery died! Got it working again for Robs 2nd race where he came 1st. Amy decided not to try to race again today as we'd had to disconnect the power steering and she couldn't handle the car very well so came home early.

 

I need a new doctor. The two I have now suck. One guy who I've been seeing ever since we moved to Utah is nothing more than a pill pusher. The other dude, who I started seeing for depression, never really enters the room....he stands right next to the door and types on his laptop, and bolts out the door as soon as he can.

I want a doctor who has access to a lab, x-ray equipment, and other basic hospitial-ish equipment/services. I hate having to drive clear across town to get an x-ray or to get blood work done.

Also, considering I have to get a physical for my ERT job, I'd like to get a female doctor...

 

Just moved out last night. Bringing several large bags, chairs etc to the 7th floor without an elevator can be quite the exercise.

Now I just need to check I haven't forgotten everything and leave my soon-to-be former landlord the keys. I won't miss that guy. Yeah, I know times are hard, but if I'm paying my rent every month, and told him in the first week that the bed isn't safe to sleep on, he can damn well provide a new one in the 8 months I was there.

 

SO on my lottery ticket yesterday I had three numbers and the other three were off by one digit -- literally plus or minus one in one of the digits (other digit was correct). Damn, so close ... I really could have used the $80,000,000.

 

Burned myself at the lab. Again.

The oil bath and boiling toluene really should have given me a clue that the stirrer was on and heating... and that strange noise coming from it shouldn't be investigated by touching the metal plate.

Too bad we're all out of dry ice.

 

Had my yearly checkup last Friday evening. My Doctor was out, he normally is rather lame and doesn't crack a smile what so ever. Luckily, his replacement was a hottie. Sooooo, I volunteered for the rectal. At first she was suspicous, but a few light-hearted jokes broker her down and she said what the heckI(not in those exact words of course, she a pro... not that type of pro!). When the nurse came in as the witness, I asked her where the vidoe camera was. She looked at me like I was a little bit lopsided. I told her I wanted to put this one on Youtube. She didn't like that very much. Not really sure why?

 

Did she warm her hands up first?

 

Nope. Just Latex and lube.

 

I swear the size of med student's fingers must be used as a multiplier to determine acceptance in proctology....

 

LMAO!! Funny you said that T2, it was the "third" part of her I checked out before starting in with the exam jokes. Slender and short fingers. If she had long or fat, sausage-like fingers, I would of kept my mouth shut!

 

Soooo...once the 'exam' was all over, did you ask if you could have a turn examining her?

In other news, I got a check from the power company for $4.68....it seems to be missing several zeros before the decimal point.

Anyway, I just found a chick on FB who was raised in my mom's daycare when I was a kid. Turns out she grew up to be a binge drinking, pot smoking, club hopping, little hottie!

Too bad there's that pesky 700mi between us.

 

I had an awesome meeting with one of the Directors in the English Department of the university I'm planning on transferring to once I graduate with my Associate's degree in a little over a year. The only thing I'm wondering now, after talking to her, is whether I should do a concentration in Literature (I absolutely adore books - hell, taught myself how to read when I was 4) or if I should lean towards Creative Writing (love to write when I get the chance - in fact have some of my stuff up in Creativity Surge). I also have the option of doing both, but that adds at least one semester to what I'll already be doing, not to mention the basic general education requirements that I might have to do for those classes that didn't transfer as well as classes for the minor that's required for those working towards their Bachelor's. Ack, too many decisions!!

 

Went to my first "Wisconsin" wedding this weekend. Father-in-law's side of the family. Lots of Farmers and umemployed. Holy Crap. Other than counting the immediate wedding party, who were in Tuxes, I was the ONLY other person with a suit and tie on. They were drinking canned beer during the ceremony, which was outside along the Mississippi River, nice park actually and were leaving the cans on the ground. Most were dressed in camo, though I only saw 2 orange vests. The "Dinner" was ham, potatoes, corn and rolls. And cake. Not a buffett. One plate only per person. I couldn't believe it. The reception hall was called "Boss's Haus House". Fricking hilarious. I stuck out like a sore thumb. The kegs of beer were "LaCrosse". Makes for a nasty hangover. Some beer just doesn't sit right in your body.
