    chicken nuggets = crack?

damn this woman needed her fix, they should have handed her a fast food ban, maybe the 60 day sentence will force her to go cold turkey and get her off her nasty addiction.

Now, I know the US has a serious fast food problem, and health problems related to it but I never knew it could pose risk to the health of the persons serving the food.

and this isnt the first time http://www.wayodd.com/583/fast-food-rage "you forgot my order, Im'a taser yo ass"

come on, what the hell is going on?

So a stun gun is considered a deadly weapon when used by a citizen, but not when it is used by the police?

So are guns, or pretty much any other weapons used by law enforcement officers.

Or would you rather have police use nerf balls instead?

Why, of course. Is that not obvious for someone believing the word 'cattle' to be a most appropriate synonym for 'citizen'? :)

I'm surprised chicken-lady got off that easy - there was clearly an assault there, not just tantrum throwing.

There's always the other side of the story though, which silent video won't show. I wouldn't be surprised if she (chicken-lady) was verbally antagonized via drive-through radio or something after complaining about the unavailability of the McNuggets. Something had to get her worked up. If it was just that they weren't serving chicken at that hour, then she's got real anger management issues and should be treated and/or incarcerated accordingly.

The fact that she likes McNuggets in the first place is an indication that she is a bit unstable...

What the hell? I mean, all that for chicken nuggets? If it was an XL Bacon Double Cheese from Burger King, I could understand, but nuggets??!

Doubtful. I worked at McDonald's in high school and was a manager during college -- people behave like this all the time. We usually don't see this in the news because McDonald's has an amazing PR machine.

No it wouldn't matter. It might just make her look slightly less crazy if she had a reason.

Yeah, people do stupid things all the time, but it can often be explained, whether they be under the influence of some narcotic, or they've been 'provoked' (in particular in that magical world in which some people exist where provocation can equal nothing more than the wrong kind of look and retaliation can be a matter of the most fundamental sense of pride and dignity), or they're grinding an axe for some other reason (spouse through them out, etc.). It's when they do it for no reason, or for ridiculous reasons like actually taking offense at the lack of chicken at 6:00 a.m., that 'crazy' starts to come to mind ...

She doesn't actually look crazy to me (despite her crazy actions). I bet one of the workers said something she found offensive and she flipped out.

    Like:

Chicken lady (who just got done having an early morning fist fight with her boyfriend): I want McNuggets!
    Drive-through lady: We don't serve McNuggets until 10:00 a.m.
CL: Are you f*cking kidding me?!
DTL: No, ma'am. People don't usually eat McNuggets for breakfast.
CL: Wait - what did you say??!!! ...

    And so on.

Try telling that to pigs who routinely use stun guns to force citizens (wait, scratch that, SUBJECTS.) into compliance. When a pig uses a taser, it's not a deadly weapon. When a subject uses a stun gun, OMG IMPRISON THEM FOR TWENTY MILLION YEARS.

If I'm not allowed to have guns, then neither should the police.

Indeed, if the government came to me, "See, look at us, we have no guns, we wish to work with you to advance the common good and serve the people. There is no need for you to be armed, it will only create unnecessary violence, set your guns aside. " I might just be tempted to relinquish firearms.

However, as it stands, its more along the lines of "See, look at us, we have guns, and we do not wish you to have any. Only a maniac would be so obsessive over a right to bear arms. Surrender your firearms, or we will shoot you. Do as we say, not as we do."

I have come to the conclusion that you are trying to play devil's advocate, while at the same time trying not to come across as an idiot.

    You need to try harder.

I honestly don't understand why everyone is taking the mickey out of me. Why is it so outrageous for me to postulate that a government (whose primary purpose is to *serve* society) should lead by example?

Serving society includes enforcing its laws. In order to enforce laws, one needs to have the ablility to do so if the someone resists. Part of that ability lies in being better equipped than person resisting. And unfortunately, that sometimes involves weapons.
