I thought I asked this before but can't find it if I did. Sorry if it's out there. I looked through the last 7 pages and gave up.
Should I worry about wisdom if I'm not a cleric or druid? I know it matters for the wish spells but other than that? Also the beholder in the fish city but you can chug a wisdom pot for that.
I know wisdom high scores are SUPPOSED to give bonuses to some saves but for some reason they don't? I thought I read that somewhere but I'm not sure. Maybe it was fixed in the EE version?

You read about the saves, you even checked it yourself ;)

I don't think there's an awful lot of use for high wisdom, outside of clerics and druids. I don't think rangers and palladins get bonus spells for having a higher WIS, though they have a WIS limit at character creation. And for the wish spell for mages and sorcerers, as you mention.

For a non-priest character with low starting stats, I wouldn't worry about wisdom. For a character with high starting stats though (like bards and F/M/Ts) where trying to get an 18 or higher on everything is actually something you can pull off, trying to juggle wisdom with everything else is a good challenge.

Thanks henkie. I thought I asked before. I just have the WORST memory. Open a book and forget what I'm looking up. Talk about something and instantly forget what was told to me. Watch a tv show or movie and I can then watch it again because it's like I never watched it. It's very annoying :bang:

For mages the WIS score dictates the options you get when casting the Wish spell, but that's about it, i don't think the stat adds a lot for classes that don't have access to divine casting.
