I didn't get any shipping notification and it appeared today, unpadded in a box from France. I don't know if it was announced that they were shipping out but an email with tracking and good packing is always nice when you pay $100+ for something.

Nothing is secured within the CE box itself. The game disc has a Steam installer and the soundtrack is in a very cheap digipak! The artbook is puny in size and mine has a shallow cut in the center of the cover. Very disappointing to say the least. I'll edit in some photos later.

I'll not be preordering or supporting any Kickstarters from Inxile in the future.

The Steam code and DLC code are up for grabs, free, if anyone wants them.

I read reports of people starting to get boxes some time ago, I think it was announced in one of the mailing updates a while back. Like you've found out, apparently they're sending everything in inadequate packaging, unpadded. Hard to believe, but there you go. I guess spending a few cents on bubble wrap is too much to ask for. Or like, you know, making the box with proper inserts.

There's also plenty of outrage about the backer CE being much more shoddy than the CE available for ordering now, but that's another (related) story...

You should be able to get a replacement artbook by mailing their support though, assuming that you want to bother.

Wow. This is just... sad. Let's give them a disc copy of a steam redeem code and a shitty (condition, perhaps not quality) art book. That's worth $100+ right?

I'm surprised nothing was damaged more than it is. The flimsy cardboard that's in the box is thoroughly smashed up.

I saw that yesterday when I was making this thread, pretty darn annoying.

I don't know if I'll bother but, thanks for telling me.

Apparently so :p. Serves me right for presuming that a tier this high would get a DRM free disc I suppose. The artbook isn't terrible in quality but it's pretty puny in size.

It's bull like this that makes me glad I'm not able to back KickStarters or Fig projects or whatever the hell.
