  • The problem isn't so much the pride demon, he will go back to his starting point the moment you stealth, and you can keep him out of the fight until only he is left. It's not the blood Mage either, she'll die from an Assassinate. It's the sheer amount of shades that spawn! 10 or so will spawn initially, and then two more waves during the fight. They hit very hard (not used a single point in con), and will knockdown-lock you if you let them.

I found it easiest to summon my Dog as soon as the Mage died, and then retreat to the stairs you come in from, and let them gang up on my dog. When they had lumped together nicely(don't wait too long, the Dog will die fast!) I used a Fel greande on them, which left most of them near death. Then I started retreating back up the stairs, while taking down Shades as I went. As they closed in on me I stealthed, let them retreat down and then started sniping them.
The Pride Demon itself didn't give me any trouble.

I would recommend to anyone soloing that they use some of their last money on crafting Fel Grenades. These truly shine doing the fights leading to the gallows simply because there are so many mobs closely packed together.
