    Just a couple of queries

    1. What/where is the Nameless One supposed to be in the final cut scene?

    2. I'm a recent convert to RPGs. I've played both Fallouts and PT. Any suggestions for what's next?

    1) He's in one of the lower planes having to fight in the Blood War that you learn a lot about in the game. It's some powers way of punishing his wrongdoings from 'previous lives'.

2)Try the Baldurs Gate series perhaps? Or Icewind Dales good. And I've heard loads of good stuff about Arcanum, but haven't picked it up myself yet, so can't give an opinion on that one.

Id you hate d&d like me, then choose one of these for next (from older to newer) or get them all!

    - Return to Krondor
    - Septerra Core
    - Summoner
    - Arcanum
    - Anachronox

All of them are great RPGs, only Return to Krondor is pretty short.

    For what to try next:

Betrayal at Krondor (old, crappy graphics but still a great RPG)
Arcanum (it's great if you don't suffer its bugs, if you do you'll probably hate it). It was made by some of the people who made Fallout 2.
    BG2

DON'T try Icewind Dale - it's just fighting and nothing else. Not worth even getting it for free - unles syou like fighting that is.

Bah! IWD has a story, and is great fun to play, but there certainly isn't as much interaction as in the other Infinity Engine games.

I must say I agree with Dragoon. The story in IWD is cliche: Something evil appears and you are hero to deal it...

And quests? Forget those. IWD is hack'n'slash.

Only I don't know if this was changed in expansions because after IWD itself I didn't want to risk more. I want story, I want quests. If I needed fighting I would play Doom, can it be more simplier to say?

And btw, if you do have a PSX, try the game called Legend of Dragoon. It is great plus I think that title of the game reminds me on someone, but who... ;)

Well, this seems like an opportunity to plug the planescape story. As you're relatively new you probably don't know that a bunch of us decided to explore what appened to the nameless one after the end of Planescape Torment. I then killed the story with my terrible writing, adn obsession with my own interpretation. It's in the Creativity Surge Forum, http://www.sorcerers.net/ubb/Forum12/HTML/000005.html

Just played the demo of Arcanum.

'Interesting' graphics. Don't know if I can get used to the long winded speech. Maybe I'll try Anachronox next.

Thanks for all the suggestions by the way.

Give a try to Betrayal at Krondor. You can download it free from Sierra's homepage, and iT's one of the best CRPGs what were ever made!
