I have just purchased Planescape: Torment, the 2 CD version that comes with Soulbringer. The install went fine and I have alredy gone through all that conversation with the floating skull. But when I actually start to play the game it restarts my computer after about 30-60 seconds of gameplay. I have no idea why it does this and I am terrible with computers, can someone help me out please.

Are you sure nothing is overheating? The game is pretty old, sure (and it would be bizarre to say the least if it made something overheat) but sometimes new drives for the graphics card have problems running old games (though I've never heard of a case where this causes overheat).

Your game is probably crashing to the desktop, but you have a setting in Windows that auto-reboots when the game crashes. Go to My Computer > Properties > Advanced > Startup and Recovery and uncheck "automatically restart" under "system failure."

Next, go read your logs and see what failed. My bet is on your video card. Make sure you have current drivers. If you do...

Go to Run and type in "dxdiag" and hit "okay." This will run the DirectX Diagnostic Tool. Under the tab that says "Display," disable DirectDraw Acceleration.
