hey so i recently installed PST on my newly reformatted computer, and it's having this wierd graphics problem where the resolution in-game is screwed up. the game is squished up, there's about 2 inches on either side of the screen of nothing, just blackness.

so i'm wondering how to fix this problem? the game used to work fine on my computer before i reformatted. and yes i have my graphics card drivers and everything correctly installed.

What resolution you use in windows ?

Are you using a laptop ?

    Flat screen ?

I know alot of laptops or flatscreens are more or less "made" for certain resolutions, meaning they are unable to "adapt" to different resolutions, so running 640*400 (like PST) on any of those based on using 1024*768 for example will leave you with large areas of black around the ingame graphics. At least some laptops have option in bios to "stretch", loks crap, but at least lets you use the entire screen.

If none of those it might be that graphic drivers is "to new" for the game. Infinity engine wasn't made yesterday after all...

hmm, well i have a fairly big moniter. i do run it at 1024*768.
the thing is, i know i can fix the big black areas on the sides of the ingame graphics, because this game ran fine before i reformatted. so there has to be a way to do it... i just dont know how

Hmmm ... did you download any updates to your screen driver which may have been lost during the reformatting? Or did you upgrade the driver after the reformat (making the driver too *new* for the game)?
