[IMG] I love IWD, I think its the best of these games but I haven't played Planescape yet. So, when this DL dungeon comes out, I want to play it of course. Here is my problem. My internet connection is slow. My connection at work is very fast. Is it possible to DL the file to a disk and then load it to my PC fromt he disc later? Also, could I bring in my PC to work (under cover of darkness) and use the connection to DL the file to my PC (and risk getting fired, long story)? Any tips?

I'm not very good with PCs but I think this would work. Remove the hard-disk from your home PC and install it at the computer at work. Then just download the file in that drive. Reinstall the disk back at home and you're done - if you manage to do all that, that is ;). I hope you understood what I'm saying.
On the other hand, if you find a 100MB disk just copy it there.

[IMG] I'd say it would be easier to buy a gaming magazine that will put it on the CD that comes with it... I'm sure that all of them will jump at this opportunity. (At least the one I'm subscribed to will, for sure).

Or find a computer with a fast connection and a CD burner, and burn the file to the CD, carry it home and copy it to your hard drive then... It will most likely be a self-executable, so it won't really matter.

[IMG] What magazine?! You must tell me!! That sounds like the easiest way to do it. I could never switxch in my hard drive from home to the one at work and remove the one at work. Waaayyyy too much sensitive info on the drive I'm afraid. I would probably be arrested.

Well I don't know, the one I was talking about is a local Slovenian mag so that doesn't help you any. But I'm sure there are plenty of them available where you live as well... Check the news stands, hehe.

One other option is to buy a zip drive. Holds 100mb or more if you get a more expensive one. Hooks right up to the parallel port and the install software is very easy to use. Thats what I used to do :)

Here's what I used to do - and this is as low-tech as it gets . . .

    1. Wake up for work 10 min early
    2. Disable any "Automatic Time-out" options on your ISP Software
    3. Begin downloading the dungeon
    4. Go to work and pray that it downloads completely
    5. Repeat as many times as it takes until it downloads all the way.

Use this if all else fails. . .

One thing to add to the last post is that if you use gozilla download manager it will allow resumeable downloads. There is some other software out there that will allow resuming downloads but I can't think of them right now.

the other program that is helpful and U can resume is "Accelerator Plus" It was developed mainly for slow Internet connections.
    as for disabling:
go to Ur "dial-up net-working" from the "START" button
    right klick and choose "properties"
    the last one is "Dialing"
    U'll understand from there,
    good luck

Getting getright is also an option. It can re-dial if the connection fails, and it can even turn of the computer after downloading. I used it to DL Steel Panthers: World at War. (About 350 megs, took a week, as I only downloaded at nights to minimize the expences.)
