    See my post below titled "Butt ugly gnome". I picked a great portrait (the dark haired woman in the looooow cut dress) then saw a fat bald guy.

    I just don't think the low cut dress is going to look the same with the beard hanging down. :)

    m,aybe the beard is a fashion statement and in fact is just a rather large scraf with hand bag and trout carrying capabilities?

    [​IMG] Clearly gnomes of the realms are a specie not so advanced that they have differences between males and females. They also have very machoistic societies :).

    It's really just because they used the same image base for the gnomes as the dwarves. As we all know a good dwarven woman has a beard you can hang on to. It's unfortunate that the gnomes, who have very little facial hair, got pulled into that.
