If you mean crashes and the like, it was pretty stable for me, no more crashes then any other game. Granted, it currently runs at like 3FPS ever since I upgraded to Win XP. I think that's just because it needs more RAM or something.

On the other hand, if you're talking about the story, I figured it out about halfway through the first chapter when I found the first book about the Ancients. So I just never really got into it.

I had no problems with the game or the editor. Looks like good things happen to people that impulse buy.

The game runs extremely stable for me. The only crashes and lock ups I have had are in MP games. The "server save while area transitioning" problem and the occasional problem with gamespy.

I'm thinking of buying this game and wanted to read your poll. The 7%/1 vote for taking it back is invalid as there was not a valid/honest choice for me to make when I wanted to see the votes.
I am concerned with the number of bugs in IWD2 and that it takes a really, really long time for them to put out a patch: Example, the European patch was just released this week.
I am also concerned with how the CR (challenge rating system) is implemented. ToB seemed to work just fine, but IWD2 has major problems in my view -- not enough to take back, but to maybe just stay with IWD2 and play with its myriad of possibilites and the possibilty of TBG coming out with mods.
I really enjoyed BG and BG2. But the IWDs are pretty linear for me. And with the tool set for NWN, it seems limitless unless of course their are too many bugs.

NWN ran just fine when I installed it and my friend and I spent hours and hours playing the thing for the first time. I've never had the game crash, no serious slowdowns (unless there are lots of creatures on the screen.)
The toolset works fine as well, except for a minor thing with the conversation editor (but it may be human error, my error.) Then again, I've modified my computer specifically with the intent of purchasing NWN (lots of RAM, and later a GeForce 4.)

I had some problems, but generrally couldn't get into NWN at all. It seemed like Baldur's Gate for five year olds... I wish they'd kept to the Infinity Engine. :(
