Is it me, am I using the camera funny.

I've installed HoU and was expecting to see the wonderful camera angles on the screen shost I've seen around the web, skies, rooftops, ceilings. But no. All my camera angle does is exactly what a patch I picked up a couple of years ago did, zooms in behind my character.

Have I got it set up funny or is this the bext it gets?

There's no such thing as rooftops or ceilings in NWN, not in the core game anyway. And skyboxes you need to turn on in the game options.

    Ok. Thanks for that.

Trust Bioware to sucker me. Before I bought the disk, I was browsing the websites looking at reviews. There were a bunch of screenshots (purported) on one site, and they were uber cool, skies, cavern ceilings etc. IN fact, look at the back of your box, there's one of the misleading images there - the dragon disciple holding the torch in the street - the camera angle is way down low, you can see sky and distant buildings.

Being a sucker for sales tricks I've been thinking all this time that somehow I can trick my camera into looking around like that.

Shame. HoU is finally what D+D solo game should be, and yet I'm stuck staring at the ground, or at knee level all the time. It's the thing that annoys me most, apart from the fact I've been suckered into buying it because I believed the images, duhhh. I'm sure it's not a question of software engine technology - in KOTOR, also written by Bioware, you get complete control of cam - and it's uber cool.

Well, you should be able to move the unlocked camera around quite a bit... but without actually seeing what your problem is, I can't tell you if what you're seeing is all there is...

There's also a hack you can download off SP (Editors, Hacks & Custom chars subsection) which further unlocks the camera.

What's on the back of the box should be quite doable.
