Sharwyn's Tale

    I got her in Port Llast(previously had Tomi) and started her tale. Will she continue? It says that I need to be of higher level of experience and that I should have travelled enough with her to consider me as a friend. I've already leveled up twice but when I talk to her to continue her tale there are just two options: 1) Advice on quest 2) Speak later.

    I've haven't really used her yet but usually henchmen would only continue their tale if they too had level up just as you have. But seeing you only had 2 options when speaking to her... that must be some sort of bug or something else. Try ditching her and getting her back, hopefully that should fix it.

    It's not working. Now the "I just want to talk" option has disappeared completely. Is there a way to continue her tale by entering a cheat etc.?

    You'll have to spawn her belt from the first act. You have to have her belt to continue the story.

    IIRC, you have to have spent a certain amount of time with her in the previous chapter to continue her story in the current chapter. If you didn't, well, you won't be able to. Even if you level up a couple (or a dozen) of times in the current chapter (without spending time with her in the previous chapter), you simply can't continue her story. Like what IS said, you may need to spawn the item she gave you.

    I've heard the opposite -- that you can still get the upgraded item without having the earlier version. I don't know for sure because I always talk to ALL of the NPC's.

    The NPC's really don't need to out on quests with you -- you just need to talk to them at the appropriate level. I usually keep just one NPC and dump them once I have all the NPC quest items and am the appropriate level. I then go talk to all the NPC's and get the nice gift from each one. Then I take my original NPC back.

    In the first chapter, once you are 6th level you should talk to all the henchmen three or four times (with the appropriate item in your possession for the last talk). You can then get all the items. The key here is that you must be 6th level to give the henchman the item they want and receive the quest gift in return.

    In chapter two, the same rules apply -- except you must be 10th level to exchange items.
