[IMG] Has anybody else had problems reading the CD key for NwN supplied with the NwN Gold Edition ?

I got this for xmas, and cannot read the CD key on the sticker - the font used means I can't tell distinguish between A and R or 0 (zero) and O (capital o).

Went back to PC World, and they opened all 4 copies they had and all have the same problem.

I can understand the CD key on the SoU CD - and can install NwN with this CD key, but then can't install SoU.

I have emailed Atari, but no response yet, so would be interested to know if anybody else has had this problem.

Well, according to what you're saying, there shouldn't be that many possible combinations... it shouldn't take you too long to try out all of them. If the first combination you enter is incorrect, you CAN keep trying till you find the correct one, right?

If all copies of the game have the same issue, this is probably your best bet. I doubt Atari can help you with this. The best they could do is send a replacement copy (or a new CD key), but that wouldn't solve your problem...

I just bought the gold edition 2 days ago and Im not sure that your looking at the right numbers. Mine was on the inside of the manuel. It was really simple and easy to read too. But Im in Oklahoma so it might be different in England.

[IMG] With the UK version there are no printed manuals - the manual is supplied as a PDF on the CD. So the CD key is on sticker inside the case.

I could try all the possible combinations, but there are 7 characters which I am unsure about. And while I can't remember the maths to work out the number of possible combinations it will be a lot.

Hopefully they will send me a new CD key I can read.

Surely some of those 7 characters are clearly the same? (i.e. your not sure if a certain character is a 0 or an o, but this occurs more than once and all of them are the same, rather than some being o and others being 0).

I cant find my NWN gold box right now, but I seem to remember that o with a line through it is an o (the letter), not 0 (the number), but don't sue me if I'm wrong.
