Intelect Devourer Not Appearing

    Yeah, my brother is doing the quest under the prison, and the intelect devourer isn't there. Anyone know why? The only thing we can think of is that maybe it inhabited someone who was on their way out after he pursuaded them. Any and all help is welcome!

    Did it not spawn or did it disappear?

    If it "disappeared," it may have hopped into the body of a former guard just as the guard was running out the door. This is not the first time I have heard of such a thing.

    As for the intellect devourer not spawning at all, this is a known bug that was supposed to have been fixed back around 1.23 or so. Is this game fresh out of the box or have you patched it?

    If your game is patched and it is still not spawning, here is what you do:
    • Enable Debug Mode by hitting the ~ key and typing DebugMode 1.
    • Hit ~ again and type dm_spawnitem M1Q2PlotReagent to spawn the brain.
    • Finally, turn off Debug Mode by hitting ~ and entering DebugMode 0.
