[IMG] Did anyone think about what happened to Aribeth in the end? Since she did play a major role in this game, I think that the developers should have put her in the final movie of the game. I reloaded a thousand times, just to avoid killing her, and then in the end, nothing is said about her. Grrr.....

Yes, when you reduce her to a low enough number of hit points she should talk to you again. If you are persuasive enough you can convince her to see the light. It helps if you did the quasi-romance and have her ring.

While neither the final movie nor anything to do with the final battle changes if you spare Aribeth there are some changes in terms of the diaglogue in Castle Never.

The question im my mind is whether or not it is worth playing the game a second time to try it. I must confess that when I read somewhere that Aribeth could be saved and played through the entire official campaign again to try and do so I was almost as disapointed at the small payoff as Swarog appears to be.

Exactely. Such a big thing like that shouldn't have been neglected by the designers. It's not like you have to decide to spare a life of that wolf in the cave.

Who knows what the designers thought when they made the ending, maybe they thought, that they will continue the story in the expansion, with Aribeth in it as well.

That was my first thought... well actualy my second thought. My rist thought was how very pissed I was at the moment :D

But then again, it is not so easy NOT to kill her, so they should have made it somewhat more easier, so that the most of the players could do it. As it seems, not so many succeeded in doing this, so it isn't such a good thing to make a sequel out of it. If you catch my meaning :)

For me it seems hardly possible to kill Aribeth. O.K. when I first fighted her I killed her, but I noticed that she wanted to speak with me ( although it was too late, because my meteor storm already started :D ). It's really hard don't noticing her.

too bad you can't suggest an evil duo where you and her take on Faerun and exact true justice! (that of your own :D )

[IMG] Yeah I was a little dissapointed by Aribeth and her ending to, or should I say lack of... to tell you the truth her story line was basically the only thing keeping me going through NWN cause I wasn't as thrilled with it as I thought I was going to be (looking back I actually enjoy it quite a bit, it was just beginning blues :( ), so when it wasn't wrapped up I was frankly a little pissed. Of course maybe they're just going to have to follow it up in NWN2, god willing... if that is the case then its some pretty good marketing cause I would buy it for that alone (...not the mention the fact I am severly addicted to anything remotely Forgotten Realms related... :D ). Anyway, so I think maybe she'll be back...

I think it's ok. Instead of having to do 2-3 different endings, they settle with an open ending where you from your actions most likely is able to figure out what is going to happen.
    For instance.

I discuss the matter with Lord Nasher who seems to have qualms about the matter, and isn't really surprised by it, due to what he did to Fenthick. If given the opportunity to judge again, he might judge with more mercy.

Alright, sounds good. Then I finally meet and fight her, upon winning she yields and I get her to realize her wrongdoings, showing her the ring and all (which I actually wore throughout the game! :D ).
Back in the cellar, she tells you that she's happy to be alive, if for nothing else then to see you against. Says that she realized she loves you, I ofcourse reply I love her too, and she says there may be hope for a future for the both of us once all this is settled with Morag.
Given the position that you're the only one who can destroy Morag, and does so, I'd say I'm damn sure you'd be able to demand that she'd be liberated since you just saved neverwinter and the world, don't you?

So in my personal epilogue the elf pair of Lokken and Aribeth are banishing evil where it show it's hideous face! ..and getting little elf babies sometime when they retire adventuring ;)

Just because they dont type it out, doesn't mean that it doesn't happen. Instead of setting in stone an ending that would not be to your taste, they make the ending the same for all players (by not mentioning Aribeth in the ending).
I agree she's a huge story npc (the only thing keeping me going too), but you can from your actions in game pretty much determine her ending in a possible dialogue. If good, you can do as I did, or if your evil you could spit upon her name when talking about her and with her.
