What are your favourite monsters in NWN? Having played through NWN once now (and having supposedly seen all monsters available) I wanted to ask what your favourites were. My choice is clear: Ogres, they look just sweet

Ragusa, I haven't gotten far enough to comment. Mostly, I'm killing convicts, zombies, etc ... none of which are too cool.

I can't wait to get to the "better" monsters. I'll vote as soon as I see my first oger, deal?

 

I like weak monsters that attack in waves.. it's always fun to slaughter group of dozen monsters. So.. orcs are pretty nice opponents, bugbears etc.
My favuorite opponent may not be as thrilling as ancient red dragon, but that's how I like em.

 

Actually I loved the few Umber Hulks I found. I love the model, their sweet cute eyes .. I had no idea that they were that big.. I have only seen them in Icewind Dale and BG2 so I had not much to compare with.

I was going to vote for Baalors, but then I remembered that they were Ta'anari and I'm an Abishai, so that was out.

Yeah, the umber hulks have really cool models, so do the dragons and liches.

 

I'd have to agree with the Ogres. The models look the best, I think. And they aren't too easy (like skeletons, goblins, orcs, bugbears, etc) and you don't encounter them in hoards either.

I've only encountered one dragon so far, and while it looked cool, it was a complete disappointment as a fight The combat AI had it keep using its breathweapon, which my monk was completely immune to. The big lizard didn't even leave a scratch on my monk and the fight lasted about 30 seconds.

 

LOL i find it amusing that Ogres is in Bold on the list are you triing to persuade the voters

Although i think my fav from that list is the Yuan Ti

The demons and dragons were quite well done in NWN, but I also liked the way they looked in BG2. The detail on the Fire and Frost Giants was something else. Definitely gets my vote.

 

I personally thought the Baalors looked the sweetest.

 

Your right the Balors do look the sweetest and you've gotta love the flame effects on their wings hehe.

Although my hero npc elf i created did survive against 1 balor lord (upped the hp to 300) who had 7 normal balors single-handidly Unfotunately they were meant to kill him as part of the plot

 

I must say that the demons, umber hulks and ogres are very good... I haven't had a chance to see any dragons yet .

 

Even though they don't even look 1/2 as meanacing as the BG's seires of dragons, they still look cool. So, I go for the big reptiles

 

i love the slaads. sure there not hard and they do tht spawm thing but if you kill the one tht spawn the new one they both die so they even more easier

 

I like iron golems, they look sweet, but since they aren't on the list, giants will do, because they attack in groups and are quite decent monsters

 

This probably sounds strange, but I thing that the minotaurs are wicked, I mean, come on. Check out the size of the Axe.

I especially like the minotaur in the movie at the begining, he's cool.

I also like the Balors, and all of the dragons.

Dragons are wicked.

 

Well I really like kobolds, or possibly hobgoblins. Or perhaps even Mind Flayers...

 

I haven't seen a dragon yet. My character doesn't believe that they exist.

So far, I really like the Slaads. I loved the Slaad Lords in (name that 1st Ed book ... I can't remember). The Blue Slaads summoned Red Slaads, all fell to my blade, then you cut their tongues out. Sweet.

i must agree with mathetais slaads take the cake. thay are fun cause you go up against one and you get to slay 2! and they just dam fun to kill
