[IMG] I'm curious about "GM-ing" with NWN. While the game is being played, what does the GM really do? Can the GM take an active role? Can the GM play a sort-of intelligent NPC in his/her own adventure (on the serving machine)? Can the GM make intelligent choices for some of the monsters?

LAN setups look ideal for this sort of gaming party, but playing across the internet, how much bandwidth does everybody need?

Does the "module" get loaded to everyone's machine first, or does it load map-to-map from the server?

Any comments from those who've GM'd or played private games?

As far as bandwidth goes, it's pretty intense. I've had slow downs on dual T3 lines before.

As far as the other questions, yes.

Afik, the bandwith issue is mostly server side. If you're hosting the mod and dming, you'll need a pretty good connection I think. Also, we've noticed the more dm's do (possessing characters and such), the more lag is present. Just something to take into account.

I think that you need a dedicated server to pull it off without any lag. Hey Rastor...Crawl...you guys ever notice you're like twins?
