Start as a thief for skill points, then to fighter for a few levels for combat abilities, then off to the most tainted prestige class that is the Dualist. :)

    ...if it's supported...

I am going to play a drunk wizard that begs for booze money, so don't attack those bums they might just implode your head.

The mighty Sirdan. An alone CG half-orcish Barbarian.

[EDIT] Changed my mind. Forget the above hack&slasher. I would play Elec Mournbringer, a CN Sun Elf Mage member of AORTA (I hope).

Padine, why not be original and be a paladin instead of a fighter? :p

First character will probably be a rogue (at least, in ALFA, the character I am set to start with is a rogue at present). When he dies, probably something that comes in a bard or ranger variety. :)

I'd probably play as a Drow fighter or multiclassed fighter, Or an elf Ranger

Or even my own personal favorite; Dante! The halfling thief, who robs from the rich and takes the poor for a night of beer and women.

Hey guys, I cannot decide whether to become a mage or sorcerer. How would a sorcerer/mage work out? Sorcerer type spells from level 0 to x and mage type spell casting from x onwards? This could work out quite well...

Ehm...that doesn't work. Wizards and Sorcerers have the same spells, but the W. reads them from his spellbook and the S. just knows them in his blood and mind. If you are a level 10 Sorcerer and take a level of Wizard, you don't get high level spells, but only the 0th and 1st level spells a level 1 Wizard would get.

Yeah I know that but what if i chose sorcerer first then changed, wouldnt I have sorcer type casting spells & mage type level 0 to x? Might sound stupid but id just like to know how it would be implemented.

Taking levels of sorcerer won't affect your casting as a wizard and vice versa.
As a sor10/wiz10 you would be able to cast an amazing amount of low level spells but no level 6+ spells.
And the wizard spells you cast you have to prepare just like any other wizard.
Just as a clr/wiz would use two different tables so will a sor/wiz.

Will charisma affect the number and power of spells as in 3rd E?

    [IMG] Not "like 3e" - this IS 3e! ;)

Sorcerers depend on Charisma in NWN.

    Barbarian/Bard for me.

But with so many different attributes that are important, I might try and heavily emphasize one over the other(I'm thinking 3 lvl bard for every one lvl barbarian right now)

I'll play as my chaotic Evil Sorcerer... "Lord of Destruction", he (or perhaps, she) brings suffering and death wherever he/she travels.

BTW, in TOB he was crowned the new God of Murder... Watch out!
