I have come to announce the presence of the Dies Irae as an official ALFA faction.

We will easily be the single most dangerous faction in all of ALFA.

Are you good or neutral?

Hmmm. So what is your in character rationale for this group? Religious zealots sending people to death? Think there's too many people on the planet? Disgruntled pk losers from EQ and UO? I find it difficult to believe you would have a valid, role-playing oriented reason for doing this. Especially since you make it sound people will be executed on sight, which makes for just about no roleplay whatsoever. Maybe you could elaborate and enlighten us?

Roleplaying reasons for my group?
We are evil.
We don't like you.
We are into the thrill kill.
We want those things that you possess.
We desire a kingdom of tyranny and fear.
We have anger management problems.
We were not suckled long enough.

And we will not kill on sight.
First we will ruin you.
Kill those around you.
Make innocents suffer in your name.
Be the iconoclast to all you hold sacred.
Humiliate you.
Then we will kill you.

We are not the twisting of the moustache evil genius' that are so trite and totally overdone.
We are the sadistic plague that has come to call.
The razers of villages, the killers of men women and children.
The epitome of self styled evil freelancing death.

And you may just be the first that we come to call upon.

And truth be told, we count on being chased. The game would not be quite as much fun without some pathetic do gooder mewling attempting to stop us- not knowing that all the while they dig thei own graves deeper.

 

This guy is so far off the walk he is actually funny. I loved his 'before we kill you' list. We have to get him and J'Kin together.

BC I hope you have a good idea for a backup character before the first one will have a lifespan of hours if not minutes.

J'Kin might have been evil, but he had motivation, which made it really kinda cool. Random evil just isn't as interesting.

This might sound a little out of place coming from me, but I think the man has a valid viewpoint. Even in this world there are psychotic murderers who have no other reason for killing than the thrill it gives them. D&D is considerably more black and white than reality, with good purer and evil filthier, so there MUST be some elements of society that would share Croix's mentality.

By the way, good job on the website.

 

hmmm, you have a point!, but if te poor soul survives a few days and causes problems, my Merc group will hunt him down free of charge, just for the Darven Hell o' it.
After that people will be awestruck by the machine know as the Grimm Fists, that business should poor like rain.

OoC Pretty clear that after the first month or two the DMs will have a hard time comming up with enough content to keep the rabid ~ 1000 players of ALFA happy. That's where PvP comes in, valid in game resons for players and groups of players go after one another while the DMs act as referees. But if everyone is 'Sweetness and Light'- boring. Thus there is a need for Dies Early, the Bretheren, the SoDs, the Cult of Myrkul and all the other ooh nasties lurking in the woodwork. If the guy gets you worked up - he's doing a great job. Didn't you hate Irenicus too? And wouldn't you rather face the challenge of a real I than an AI?

 

No Irenicus rocks, best human impersination ever.
It is good to have factions of good and evil and um..Neutral, they keep the balance and the mind sane.
Being neutral who knows who the Grimm Fists will help lol!

P.S, when do i go up?, i have 38 posts, i'm sick of staring at a goblin, maybe its just the Dawarven Animosity, but i cant stand the damn things...Lemme at it.

However, a little bird told me that this fellow has a good head on his shoulders and may be quite a challenge.

Well, don't get me wrong, I simply wanted to know where this group was coming from. I have no problem with having evil characters in the world. If everyone was goody goody, that would make for a boring game. I have already contemplated evil characters for myself when my good level 1 characters die off. So my question was one more of RP interest than putting the DI down. Personally, in BG2, I had much more fun playing an evil sorcerer than my good fighter type. Evil is very fun to play, and often, very unpredictable.

Saying that my post had too much obscenity was very offensive to me.
It made it sound like I went off on the poor fellow who had posted before me with a shotgun of expletives, which I certainly did not.
I made a few comments having to do with necrophilia, but nothing obscene.
You all seem like very decent people.
It's a shame what will become of you.
