I was wondering how many of us are musically literate with the use of musical instruments. In other words, who can play musical instruments and what instrument is it? Also state if you are in a band etc.

As for me i play the guitar and am in a band.

 

same here, well i play guitar, but i'm not in a band. i just like to jam. can't read music though, so i just pick up what i can from friends or my dad. or the net, there are some decent tab sites out there.

Sniper, what kind of music do you play? i play blues mainly, but i learn anything i can.

 

I play the saxaphone, but i'm not in a band.

 

I play from country to rock music. But i'm no super dude on the guitar. The band is young and we are all still in the process of learning but i've just about finished a song that requires just the guitar at a minimum.

My band is called 'Angels of the Night'
Its a rock band.

 

I played a stand-up bass for a few years in school, but that all ended after I moved to a school district that didn't have an orchestra. Lately, I've gotten an itch to learn how play guitar, but I haven't acted on it yet... Glad to hear that you play the blues Wingfoot. Ever hear of a band called Indigenous? They aren't phenominal, but they are a good band. Produced by Doyle Bramhall, who I believe produced Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble. If you get the chance, check'em out.

 

Y'know when u get those times when you've done something well and you are really pleased with yourself and you just want to tell the world? Well, i got one of those feelings and i just want to say that i was able to learn the tune of 007 on guitar without the need of help from friends who already know it!I'm so chuffed! I don't mean to brag honest! Any of you had those feelings?

no band currently. I'm looking for somewhat of a Radiohead meets Offspring and mix in a little Frank Sinatra haha. That'd be interesting. No just something different. I'd have to start a new band and I'm not that motivated yet.

 

Well, I play the guitar in a band called "Iatola", playing a gig with 500 people in 3 weeks, should be good! (Read as: LOTS OF MULLAH!!!!!!!)

 

That is one talent I wish I had...Musical ability. The best I can do is sing in the shower/car, or play a mean air guitar.

Other than that, I can only appreciate/respect anyone that has the talent! Green Smilies for all!

 

I used to play the drums, but I haven't played in a long time. I once was in a band.....

 

I have attempted many instruments in the past, but found that the only musical talent I possess is in my voice. I wasn't too bad at playing the violin or trumpet but I never exactly excelled.

I dont mean to brag but since this topic is about instruments...

I will be playing the bass guitar in front of my school with me band performing 'Original Prankster'
So wish me luck as this will be my first performance and i think we're performing it somewhere in late March/April...

I learned how to play the trumpet in shcool, because I had to be in band and that was the only instrument they had left.

My passion is the saxaphone, but I know I can't play it.

So, I hope to either learn the flute, or play the guitar.
