Oh thank Heaven I threw out my television. If this is the only thing on, then I'm happy to be watching Toy Story and Snow White on DVD again and again.

 

Big Brother is a disgrace for all dutch. We came up with the idea for it, and now, the whole world has to suffer for what we did. Hours and hours of episodes about a few people being trapped in a house who probably are as bored as the people who watch it. And it get's worse, after the shows, they bring out DVD's with the best moment (like there were any ). Big Brother is made only for those people, who don't realize there is an off-swith on the tv.

Big Brother also runs in other countries than Germany ! That's terrible, I hate it !! . They send "Big Brother the Battle" in Germany, it's the biggest $hit I've ever saw !

 

Lol, yes. If the De-Moll-organisation-for-screwing-everything-and-your-TV continues to fill the TV-screens of the world with big-brother et al. trash, the reputation of the Netherlands will seriously suffer and replace another nation on the continent as international scapegoat for everything and the rest. But then again, the usual creator of TV-programs doesn't depend on the dutch to fill the TV with an unbelievable amount of crap. And guess what, I'm watching the most of it. Dam, it's the remote-control. It's always slipping out of my fingers and then I can't neither switch the channel nor can I turn of the TV. Well, I could stand up, but...

Iirc, "searching for the superstar" is a cultural export product from the UK

 

Big Brother is the worst piece of tv crap ever.
Who in the whole world would actually watch that crap for 100 days?

 

What a bunch of nonsense. People sitting on a couch, watching a show about a bunch of people watching TV. What crap. I'd rather have my testicles nailed to a wall whilst being beaten with a rusty iron pipe than watch that show.

If I wanted to waste my time, I'd do it in a fun way. Like the above. Not watch bad TV.

 

Would you believe that it must be popular. Recent media feedback reported that on the "Special Screening" at 2am! approximately 56000 people were up watching the "action" that consisted over the whole hour, 1 person rolling over to scratch their butt!

This was double the people watching the repeat of Parliament Question time on the national TV station.

Wow, talk about riveting TV! And the presenter guy rings someone up and asks, "what kind of moron would be up at 2am watching people sleep on TV?" Well the presenter at least...

We just finished the third time here in Norway, and I'm starting to wish that someone would drop a Tomahawk missile on them. Live. That I'd pay to see.

On a related note: Anyone who has an issue with Big Brother-type shows should really, really read the book "Dead Famous" by Ben Elton (British comedian and writer whose credits include, among other things, Black Adder). It has some very sharp observations on people who make, watch and participate in these types of shows.

 

People sitting in a house. Watching people sitting in a house... I dont really see what the point is, just look through your nextdoor neighbours window for a half hour every night. Job done!

Although saying taht, ive been awtching it. Nush, Sissy and Tania are hotties... and Jon should be hing by the cherokees. Anouska is a complete and utter fool, and Federico is a enormous ****head.


I want either Gos, Nush or Ray to win.

 

You gotta admire John de Mol. If he can sell the world a show where a bunch of morons sit on a couch and talk about nothing but a lot of blah blah blah, he can sell the world ANYTHING.

The fact that this show is being watched by millions of viewers every single day, only gives him ideas for more shows like this. And he has plenty ideas, believe me.

Think of it... he's becoming a multi billionaire by selling the world half an hour of bull**** every night. What a businessman...

 

Hahahahahahahaha, we dutch created that show for a reason: to drive the world into madness and dispair, when on the final moment we will step up and become world leaders

Big Brother is crap. No two ways about it.

What really gets me down is that we are now on BB 4 here, and it had nothing going for it in the first place other than novelty. Sad stuff.

I'd second the call for reading Dead Famous though. Very witty, very sharp.

Yeah, you have a point, but he's talking about the British BB. Are the none British not allowed to reply in this topic ? And we can't answer his question, since we don't know any of the British BB contestants.
