    Hey everyone!

    Just completed the Merek/Lothander quest.

But I got a question! See how Merek's antidote says it has 10 uses. Well, should my party drink one each?

I don't know, because when we meet Lothander he says that the WHOLE PARTY HAS BEEN POISONED. But when the fight with Merek starts, the games says "YOU" have been healed of Merek's poison.

So, is my party healed already, and I can save Merek's antidoe for when needed, or should they drink it right now?

You don't have to drink it at all. As soon as you talk to Marek in the Blushing Mermaid, you're all cured. (AFAIK, you don't even have to kill him.) Just put it in the quick slot of someone with low strength, and it can act as ten antidotes for the encumbrance of one.

This does not mean it's a great game, it means the developpers are lazy idiots.

Look at the way they messed up the containers in BG2. Because they reused the shop mechanics the containers have an annoying side-effect of recharging one day use items. Look at the number of items in Icewind Dale sharing the same icon (dozens of rings have the Ring of Protection +1 icon...). These kind of catastrophic details are taking away the pleasure/magic and weakening the immersion.

By the way felinoid congrat for another of your clever finds.

The game is still one great piece of work though!

Don't worry guys ... the first time I played the game I forgot about getting poisoned and I died 10 days later!

    HAHAHAHA! :D
