Do you talk to yourself?

If you do, how much do you do it. What kinds of things do you talk about,etc...

I know I am strange sometimes, just don't question my authority.

 

Many more people talk to themselves than they would like to admit.

I do occasionally, but usually it's before I have something important to say to someone. I tend to rehearse it once or twice. You know, hear it out loud to make sure I don't sound like a complete tool before opening my big yap. Less likely to get smacked that way, I suppose.

Then there are times when I catch myself doing something stupid, in which I go, "God, (Death Rabbit) you are such an idiot! " But that's rare because I'm perfect

 

I do it all the time. I discuss Battle plans, mostly, for strategy games and RTS. Sometimes I have a violent argument with myself about something I said. But, eventually, I come to an understanding and I forgive me. But, other than that, no.

 

I talk to myself, my computer, my cat, my radio, my TV, and just about everything else... The scary thing is that on nights that I stay up till 4am they start talking back.

 

I talk to myself all the time -- it's the only way I get an intelligent answer, some days!

Seriously, though, when I'm about to go do battle with a parent who believes his moron kid should be getting honours grades, or when I'm about to explain to Administration why I kicked out a drunk student, I run over the probable scenarios a few times in my head.

 

Apart from swearing - not much.

I sing to myself. Does that count?

Once I thought I was way smart if I discussed things with myself; that it made me more clever. But why force something as enlightened and sharp as a brain to work with something as slow as language and words?

Now I just think. One Thought can explain more than a thousand words. graps more than a thousand descriptions. Now thats optimizing. You should try it.

There is no secret to success. Only 100% focus and concentration. You don't reach that with rambling to yourself, how cozy and brilliant it may ever seem at the moment. On the other hand Cozy is a key word isn't it? And thats not all that bad in this solitaire world

 

The only time i talk out-loud to myself is when someones left the room and im on my own i usually insult them. But there is regular dialogue in my head about most things. including this post.

 

A lot of times I mutter, or continue to talk when I think i have someone's attention, but don't.
Then someone will come and say "Are you talking to yourself?"
I always replay with "no, just whoever is willing to listen"
Apart from that, not really, unlease I curse something or myself or something extreme happens.

 

I mutter to myself when it's possible someone might hear me. When I know it's just me, I break out the full fledged talking to myself. It's usually about plans for the day, motivational stuff, etc.

 

I have been known to talk to myself in the past, but it's always for a very good reason. When I have to do something that requires steps, like when I rearrange my room or when I'm doing several chores at once, I have to make out a list in my head of what I'm going to do first. So then, I have to repeat the list to myself so I won't forget it. So it ends up that I look like I'm wandering around aimlessly, muttering to myself. At the very least, having kids has given me an excuse for this; I can just pretend that I'm talking to them.

 

I was 'inspired' to make this post last nite when I could not go to sleep because I would try to lay quietly and fall asleep and would suddenly find myself talking(to myself of course). I often talk to myself as if I were another person. I tell myself what I need to do during the day, scold myself for not doing things that I should have... but most of all, I stage conversations between an imagined or "real" fantasy character and pretend I am some other fantasy character who is more powerful and stronger than them... I talk to myself probably even more than I talk to other people. I'm just a strange one... there I go again, I said "hahaerr" when I typed it in...

Oh yes, I also enjoy reading outloud to myself once in a yellow moon.

I talkto myself at times, I also yell at the newspaper too.

 

I mutter a lot of time to myself. All sorts of things.

 

I'm not adverse to a bit of self chat. It normally involves something that i'm annoyed about or something with many possible outcomes. If i discuss them to myself, i get the honest answers, not answers from people who would tend to offer the answer that is wrapped in cotton wool.
Oh, and i always cuss to myself outloud when i do something stoopid.

I usually mumble when I have calculations like this before me (only at home, of course). It helps a bit.

 

All the freaking time!

I talk to myself a lot, and in different ways. I do not expect a respomse, though. That is the big point.

I talk aloud about the stuff I browse over in stores. The chocolate I am choosing. The books I am browsing over. Hell, I am probably considered the village idiot! With my cloak, and now the hat with the tail (Do not ask...) and me talking aloud, talking LOUD, talking to trees, talking to other things, telling my bag to not to bit my hand...

Talk enough to myself to your liking?

Yeah, I mumble, I swear, I do the concentration and the character talks. But I do the granddiose talking to myself as well

(Who, me, insane? Yep!)

 

I speak with my multiple personalities about many different things.

And yes, I am insane.
