I am trying to play the BG1-tutu mod for Baldurs Gate 2, but I don't think that I've done a full install of Baldur's Gate&TotSC. So I tried to uninstall BG1 with the uninstall-button on the setup, but it said that my Uninst.isu-file was corrupted. So I tried the manual uninstallation on bioware's FAQ. It said that I should change some things in the registry editor, so I tried to, but I was unable to find "Baldur's Gate" under BioWare Corp. I tried to do the other steps (removing it from the add/remove programs, for an example), but now, It won't start anymore. So do anyone know a way to uninstall Baldur's Gate so that I can reinstall it? I'd rather not re-format (is it called that in english?), so if that's the only way, I'd rather skip it.

There are uninstaller programs out there.
Someone here probably knows one that works well with BG games and has had the same problem as you. Just wait a bit for them to show up.

And don't be too scared of a re-format. Just make sure you burn everything to CD/DVD that you want to save and be prepared to re-install a lot of updates. That's just one weekends worth of work but it's like getting a new PC. Mine ran so much better after last years re-format. All that adware and junk was removed.

My suggestion, force re-install it. Put Disk 1 in your drive and run setup.exe. This will cause it to re-install over itself. Then try to uninstall it. I've had this problem before and I believe (it's been awhile) this is how I did it.

Reformatting, while maybe a good idea, will not fix this problem.

Prehaps because of the age of the games this seems to be a regular problem. try going in to the program file and see if the Baldur's Gate folder is still there. If so manually delete the folder. You may have to run a registry clean up program after that.

Ok, problem fixed. Turns out that it was a problem with my computer that made it impossible to reinstall, but I've fixed it now, and it's working perfectly.
