Have you been to any music concerts lately? This includes band concerts and festivals, such as ozzfest and woodstock. If so, what and who did you see? Any interesting rumours etc. that you want to spill, and any interest to go to a concert in the near future?

I've got tickets to go see Metallica in January next year. They are also playing the Big Day Out, which I am also going to. Metallica twice in two days. I'm a lucky, lucky man.

Also, I have tickets to the Livid festival here in Brisbane in October. Many great bands playing, such as eighties matchbox B-line disaster, Black rebel motorcycle club, the white stripes, the black keys and many more.

I watched a Queensryche's concert one month ago. They had a good performance and they played many of their old songs but unfortunately some songs, which I wanted them to play like "Queen of the reich", "Take hold on the flame" and "I don't believe in love", were not in the playlist.

I've been to a couple of U2 concerts in the past, but lately i didn't go to any.

For the rest i've seen several bands and artists perform in nightclubs all across Europe.

Depends on what you call lately. I've been to a Popa Chubby concert in March of this year.

The last concert I've been to is about an italian group that probably you've never heard: Quintorigo.
This was my 7th concert of theirs, about a month ago.
This band is absolutely incredible. They play a mix of musical styles that goes from hard rock, to blues, jazz, classical music, pop, reggae, tango and whatever comes to your mind.
Not to mention the incredible covers that they often play: Highwaystar from Deep Purple, Heroes from David Bowie, the classical jazz standard Night and Day, La Danse des Sabres (that's a piece of classical music) and so on.
All of that with an absolutely anusual quartet of instruments for such a project: violin, violoncello, double-bass and saxophones.
The fifth element is a singer with one of the most amazing voices I've ever heard, with incredible extension (fron very low notes to very high ones) and control, and a great taste for lyrics.
In case you are curios and want to look for something on Kazaa, here's a couple of titles:
    Kristo si!
    Nero vivo
La nonna di Frederick lo portava al mare
    Egonomia
    Neon sun
    Illune

Finally another person who likes Popa Chubby. Not many people even heard of one of the best (and fatest) blues musicians around. My days of promoting Popa Chubby solo are over. One day all the world will know of the King of the New York City Blues.

But seriously, the performance I went to was on a Thursday, and there is a curfew (sp??) in Holland which doesn't allow loud music after a certain time (midnight IIRC). He said he wanted to play for us all night and I expected him to something like "**** the curfew", but unfortunately, he didn't.

I saw Live for the 3rd time back in September, and will see them again next time they come through here. Best band ever, and put on a great rock show. Took my girlfriend to see No Doubt back in December, which actually wasn't bad.

The best show I've EVER been to was Rob Zombie back in '99. Talk about theatrics! He makes KISS look like a bunch of mimes! Definitely a must-see show, even if his voice sounds crappy live (as compared to on the record).

Been to lots of concerts, but I can't remember most of them (damned alcohol). Metallica, Everclear, lots of country concerts, and lots of local-band type concerts.

However - I'm going to see my band on Sunday, August 3rd!! THat's right - Summer Sanitarium 2003 is here!!

    METALLICA!!!!!!

(oh yeah, I think some other pansy bands are going to be there too)
