    There is of course the possibility of my being an idiot and having missed this entirely, but is there an extended play DVD out yet with the deleted scenes from the Two Towers? I know the regular DVD is out already, but I haven't heard anything about the deleted scenes.

    I already got my 4-disc extended version last Nov. 12 and it's a U.S. version (Region 1). It has about 40+ minutes of additional scences but I still have to watch it yet.

    Actually mine was pre-ordered from the U.S. so I was a bit surprise when someone said the U.S. release is Nov. 18.

    Thanks all. Quite ironically, minutes after I posted this message, a commercial came on the TV, advertising that the release date (U.S.) was November 18. I had already logged out, and I didn't feel like re-booting the computer, so the message stayed.

    [​IMG] I ordered my Extended Version copy from Amazon...SO I have to wait a few days before I get it!!! Grrrrr!

    I did see one of the extended scenes with Gimli and Legolas at Helm's Deep...It was hilarious!!!!

    For all those who felt ripped off by the theatrical version you will need the extended version. This time it makes so much more sense and incredibly different in the amount of details that were lost across the two versions that make the story hold together (when compared to the extended FOTR version). Must see and own.

    It does a very nice job enlarging the story. In particular, i liked the scene with Boromir and Faramir. It added an important depth to the story that will unfold in RoTK, as well as explaing Jackson's depiction of Faramir...well done.
