[IMG] I am a sadistic, malicious, relentless TORTURER according to this test. It's for people who play Magic the Gathering, and seeing many of you here do, here it is:

I am a Megalomaniac (EAIG), Enjoyment Aggressive Inflexible Game-player.

Hmm, I agree except for the inflexible part. Don't know how they figured that.

"In many ways you are the ultimate enjoyment-loving, thrill-seeking player. Nobody throws themselves into the game quite the way you do. Wasting hours messing about with strategies and decks is for people who've missed the point of the game: it's for playing!"

I'm a megalomaniac too. I especially agree with this part, "...when the game's over, especially if things have gone well, you like to talk about what happened; how you tried a really cool move and nearly got to do it if only your opponent hadn't foiled you at the last minute."

    Mastermind-

    Competitive Defensive Flexible Person-player

"As a Mastermind you play Magic: the Gathering because you want to win - and you’ve got what it takes to achieve that goal. You don’t believe in rushing in with an army of creatures and dealing a massive blow to your opponent right from the start. No. You believe in observing. Watching. Waiting. Weighing up exactly when to go in for the kill. Then, before your opponent knows it, you’ve knocked him out with an unexpected precision blow."

    [IMG] "Bonzo, you are a...

    Samurai (CAIG)
    Competitive Aaggresive Inflexible Game-player
You are an aggressive powerful warrior who loves to make bold attacks on your opponents. You get a lot enjoyment out of the game, but you want more than just to play for fun. Your aim is to compete and you compete to win. Your focus is locked onto your game. You build decks that bring you victory. You don't waste your time messing about with experimental or weird combinations - you want the deck that's going to help you win. That means picking the right cards and using them the right way. You're quite prepared to get the basic structure for your deck from somebody else - the important thing isn't where it comes from, it's the performance you get out of it that counts.

You'd prefer to take a conservative approach rather than throwing caution to the wind on something that might not work. You don't want to risk the advantage that you've spent a lot of time and effort building up. Your aggression is very controlled and measured. You like to wear your opponent down in a war of attrition. If it takes a while to seize the victory then so be it, as far as you're concerned it will be all the sweeter in the end. Drafting doesn't rock your world, but it doesn't bring it crashing down either. If the right cards come up, you'll do well. "

scarily enough that is very acurrate to my playing style especially the bit about attrition.

You like a fight - but only over the Magic table, of course. Working hard is all well and good, but it's working smart that interests you.

    - Good enough I guess. It pretty much describes how I play my game.

    Marauder (EAFG)

    Enjoyment Aggressive Flexible Game-player

You are a dangerous person to have anywhere near a Magic game. When you get your deck out, everybody knows they're in for some serious trouble. Some people like nothing better than a long hot soak in the bath - but you bathe nightly in a bloodbath. You prime your deck so you've got every killer blow at your disposal. You go out there to walk or preferably stomp all over your opponents - massacring, maiming and mutilating as you go. If you meet with resistance you want to chop it down. If your opponent comes back at you hard, you love battling it out. That's how games should be played. You're not so keen on people who keep using counterspells. If they can't fight properly with creatures and Lightning Bolts, what are they doing playing Magic anyway?

You love big powerful creatures. You love building decks and trying new things with combinations of cards. Some people call them weird but these wiseguys usually end up with their entrails dripping from the blade of your Serra Angel's sword.

You also like to try things out when you're playing. You'll probably have a go with different decks and colours and you're not averse to experimenting with your strategy during a game. You like to play for fun rather than enter competitions. For sure you enjoy the thrill of winning just the same as anyone else but you get more than enough enjoyment from games with your friends.

You're happy to discuss the twists and turns of the game with your opponent. You're quite interested to hear how things seemed from his point of view - especially if he was staring unhappily into the eyes of your Craw Wurm for most of the game. Since you spend a lot of time trying out different card combinations you're quite a fount of knowledge on the game, and you're happy to share that expertise with your friends.

Side note: I'm happy ... ah those days where Lightening bolt was a pain in the arse ... ;)

How odd for the Irreligious Paladin to be a Knight-Errant Magic player.(CAIP: competitive agressive inflexible person-player)

I don't know how accurate it is because it mentions that i would only want to fight on the magic table, which is untrue as i've been itching to crack this one guys skull open...

Huh- I never noticed that before, about Megalomaniacs not playing blue. I'd argue with that. My deck used to be equal parts white, blue and green and I just purged the blue a few months ago. But it was only because I decided to focus on 2 colours instead of 3 and my white and green gave me more to choose from, not because I disliked blue. I'd go back to blue some other time. I never play black or red, to me the cards look violent and frightening instead of pretty. Maybe that's just because my husband's black-and-red deck is the main army I see in battle. :)

    Sweet :)

    Faragon, you are a...

    Commando (CAFP)
    Competitive Aggresive Flexible Person-player

You are the kind of player people are scared to meet across the table in a fully lit tournament hall, let alone in a dark alley. You are first and foremost a competitor, but just like real-life Commandos, competing is not enough. You want to win. Only one of you can come out alive and it has to be you. Anyone unlucky enough to meet you in a head-to-head is left in no doubt about this right from the start. You're aggressive, you go on the attack. Taking prisoners is for wimps, but you never let yourself get so carried away that you start making rash strategic moves. Controlled aggression is your guiding principle. You've got gaming down to a fine art - and that means playing against the person, not just their cards. Of course, you aren't going to sit back trying to work out whether your opponent's blink rate gives any indication of the cards in their hand, but you will notice if they start to squirm during your onslaught, and, admit it, you'll enjoy it. As you turn the screw on them, you'll watch them wince and if you're really lucky, weep.

When things don't go your way, there's only one word for your approach: grit. You'll hang on in there awaiting the chance to deliver the final blow to your opponent. Unless, of course, you decide you don't want to show your opponent all the clever surprises in your deck. Every Commando looks after his weaponry and preps it properly before going into action. You build your own decks using the latest tricks, but you like to pack a few surprises of your own in too. You're calm, collected and confident. Your strong self-belief means you can handle whatever gets thrown at you during a game. Ice cool, you'll take the appropriate action to keep your game on course.
