[IMG] Okay, basically heres the case:

I'm going to an allnighter at this cyber cafe (8-8) and my mate, said that i should take 4 cans of redbull in one go. Asking why, he said that in one of the PC gaming magazines, it has been found, that by doing so, it increases your gaming abilities by 20% for 5 hours. Now, i need verification of this or at least, someone with that kind of knowledge, to tell me if this is a worthy investment.

    Post away, within reason.

I've never seen any written study on the dangers of taking it.

Personally, i love the stuff. I buy the litre bottles of the competitor for £1 in Tesco and drink the whole bottle just before i go out of an evening. This is probably about the same volume as 4cans.

I don't think it could keep me going for an all nighter, but definitey works until about 3am. Mind you, i get up at 7am, so by the time the night comes, i'm normally pretty tired anyway.

But, short of resorting to uppers, at the cost of a criminal conviction, i'd stick to the redbull, and if you get tired, go home and come up with a new plan for next time. Maybe combine Redbull with ProPlus. Depends how much you want your body to shake the next day during major caffein withdrawal. :p

Intentioner, you're talking about Kick aren't you? I went into tescos intending to buy a couple of cans of red bull, then we (my friends and i) saw the 1 litre bottles of kick for just £1. Then i drank the bottle in about an hour. It is like alcohol in that it amplifies what you find funny, to everything. It also makes it hard to walk, and if you drink it when it's gone off it gives you very very very wierd dreams [and your head is flying].

Ok heres the run down on kick, it tastes better than red bull (in my opinion, and the other red bull competitors taste uuuuuuuuk :p i.e. sitting bull). 1 litre contains 2000% (or 1000%) the RDA (recommended daily allowance) of Vitamin B6, and 4000% (or 2000%, my memory is not so good) the RDA of Vitamin B12. It's cheaper than red bull. It's got about the same % of taurine in so the same sorta energy. Like red bull mixing with alchohol is dangerous/risky. Finally i would advise not drinking more than 1 a month, though i havent worked it out exactly, maybe 2 weeks is safe. Basically because the 'stuff' that's in it needs to be totally cleared from your body before the next load. Also if you drink say a litre every 3 days for a period of time the effects are minimal.

I drank some of a bottle, shared with a friend, while we were gaming. If you don't drink tooooooo much then it does improve your gaming to an extent. However a little bit more and it's time for 'oooooooooo carpet heheheheheheheheheehhe' etc.

Oh and it keeps you awake, there's a lot of caffeine in it, and the taurines there for the energy.

Well without going into more detailed recountations of my kick experiences i'll end this here.

I think one bottle is equivalent to five cups of coffee. :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: After a few hours, it's off to la la land.

Lazy, i am indeed refering to Kick. It's great.

What are the actual risks of mixing it with alcohol? Surely if it was bad, they wouldn't sell Vodka Redbull in pubs.

I'd probably say it's anywhere between 30 mins and an hour before i notice kind of KICK, but it's hardly noticable, even when drunk in quantities, in my experience. Unless you do as i did the other night and mix 1 bottle of kick with 35cl of vodka, and drink in about 2 hours, but then, the results were from the vodka :spin:

I never had problems mixing boosters with alcohol, except that time I had 15 wodka/redbull. Couldn't sleep quite well.

It seems Redbull doesnt give me energy, but just keeps me awake.
If I need some energie, I rather eat a diddy-diddy-dum-da BANANAnaaah.

Ok maybe i could've phrased the part about it being risky with alcohol like red bull better. Basically what i meant is that like red bull, when mixed with alcohol, too much can do some serious harm to you [i.e. nescescity to be stomach pumped] but you've got to be drinking a lot of it. Also kick/red bull mixed with alcohol should not be attempted by anyone who is an alcohol, or kick/red bull, 'light-weight' because the effects will be worse than with just alcohol or just kick/red bull. But so long as you don't drink/mix too much then it's good :dazed:

I am quite unfortuantly addicted to red bull, i will be drinking four cans before my upcoming early morning third driving test. If i fail this time i will be publicly shamed.

Does four cans of Red Bull work? Sniper, is the space pope a giant lizard?

I think I once saw some products that should be better than Red Bull, by better I mean it should keep you up longer.

    Guarana isn't coffeine is it?

Guarana is quite similar to Taurine, for it's energy value, i think.

Taurine is an amino acid - it might well be extracted from bulls testicles...

Red bull is very good, highly recomended with vodka.

However, espresso is best; and is to coffee as crack cocaine is to sugar...

The urban rumour (i would say myth but it could very well be true) is that Taurine is either bull semen extract, or (from the name) bull urine.

Heh, Redbull isn't the strongest of the energy drinks, and it's also probably the wost tasting (IMHO anyway).

If you can get it, get either Whoop A** energy drink by Jones Soda Co. or Energade (I forget which company makes the stuff). They're considerably stronger and less unpleasant to drink and digest.

[IMG] If you look at the back of the can, it says Red Bull contains 200% of your RDA (recommended daily allowance) of Caffeiene. That's TWICE the safe recommended amount. It can also be harmful to the brain in very large amounts.

My advice is to not drink more than two cans unless you fancy the hospital bed risk.
