well, how much ram you got, i recommend at least 96mb for games as graphic intensive as throne of bhall, and with a processor that slow i suggest you upgrade to a p3 with about 800 mhz, that should do it, if you dont have the cash for ram or processor upgrades, go ahead and turn off all extra graphic features, do the maximum install, and make sure no programs are running in the background, also if you really have trouble playing then try overclocking your processor, however this is tricky and not highly recommended, aslo try to play the game in 16-bit color if you have been playing in higher

Yep, i have been playing in 16bit format, no, i don't have enough cash for a new processor(yet...I've been saving up alittle), and i have 128mb of RAM.

I guess i'll try turning off some of the graphics(but there so good! uh, most of em).

ahh, yes, that stupid Norton Anti-virus is running, but it is not my pc(it is my parents so they won't let me disable it, tried once but only got yelled at)

I haven't had any problems with TOB but i have had problems with Black & White.
I have put down the graphics as low as possible and still it lags but not much, i think about once every five minutes.
My computer has 128 Ram and has 533 MHz, is this a good system?

I am getting a new computer in three months but until then i have to stick with this one!
If i downloaded the black & White patch would that help?
Every other game works fine, even the games that need more ram and Mhz then black & white they seem to work perfectly fine.
But black & white it still lags and i do not know why i will try downloading the patch and i will see how this goes!

well the thing about the processor whil playing black and white is really the mhz, id suggest about 650 for acceptable fps, black and white is humongously graphic intensive, and often meeting only the mininmal or close to minimal requirements will yield poor performence, also this could be with your 3d card, if you can afford it try to get a 32mb Geforce 2 card any of them will do, theyre really good cards, se if that helps, also you might consider overclocking your processor, although that can lead to big performance problems while loading, so if that is the course of action you think you will choose, i urge you to consider the cons

I am not going to overclock the procesor because it is not MY comp. I did take out the high memory ambiant sound and large static objects, hope that will help it.

I am getting this comp sooner or later so i am saving to upgrade most of the cards and get a new 3d accelorator(and maybe a procssesor). Oh, well, i guess i'll have to wait.

You sound like you want things that will speed the system up for free :)

Make sure your HDD is defragged and that you have plenty of free space. Full drives run slower than emptier drives.

If you do have plenty of free space, then you could tell windows to use a permanent amount as virtual memory. This will cause your computer to access the hdd more, and can slow it down, but you can get a speed boost if you set the amount right. Try setting it to match your RAM count and adjust it from there.

Try running a search on the net for free speed tips. I know there are sites that offer plenty of tips to boost performance. I don't have a link handy though :(

fat egg, what company do you work for, i just noticed that you are a programer from your profile.

Yes free is good at this point.(i'm 15, how much cash do you expect me to have?)

I beleive that you are supposed to set the virtural memory to 2.5X your ram, and i have already done that.(it helped, but not enough)
