ok my interpritations of those 3 terms as a none amrican are:

"geek", Someone who focus' single mindedly on somthing not of the main streem

"nerd", Someone highly intelligent with a small social circle that has poor (mainstreem again) dress sense

"dork", A general idiot that even the 2 groups above refuse to talk to

    Yeah, I am a geek.
why? The list is endless, but i slice infinity down a little (you see..?)
1)I too love sf, fantasy and DnD ALMOST (shame on me) as much as life.
    2)I too play NO sports.
3)I use HTML (learning), but maybe that means I am an idiot.
4)I read 26 hours a day, during the 12 hours a day I am not on the computer.
5)I am good at maths. And, 4), was a joke, a bad one, I can actually do basic adding and subtraction.

[IMG] according to stereophobia's definitions (which are similar to descriptions i've always used to differentiate between the different ostracized classes), i'm 'one with my inner nerd'. :book:

(btw in the uk, 'dork' is exchanged for 'freak' or 'gimp'.)

    I am a trekkie
    I like D&D
I spend a lot of time behind the computer
    I still watch cartoons (sometimes)
My favorite characters from the X-Files are the lone gunmen
I love history (some things at least)
    I am not really sportif
I never got suspended at school
    I watch the Discovery Chanel
I spend a lot of time at SP
I have a strange sarcastic sense of humor
    I write Forgotten Realms stories

But on the other hand I have plenty of friends and I don't wear glasses (but maybe need some soon.)

But I am not a geek, I am as normal as any other person, just because my interests lay in another field doesn't mean that I'm all that different.

You're only a geek if you think you are.

Stop labeling yourselves and live your life the way you see fit. If that means playing computer games, fine. If that means having an active social and sports life, fine. It's all up to you.
