To be fair, i didn't see a problem with it. Any story has to start by introducing the protagonists, what is happening, etc. And no doubt there are going to be the addition of more characters throughout the length of the tale.

Perhaps if people tried to follow on from the previous post and continuously helped the story progress (for instance, in one post it is decided an item of particular importance is required. In the next they work out what to use as that item, and then use it, rather than just moving swiftly past that point with total disregard for what was just said).

I tried to introduce enemies/creatures and set up for a reasonable reply, but generally they were ignored, and as such, the story didn't progress. Not to say that some other good post wasn't made, but it got confusing with so many ideas floating about.

If anything, start again, set some rules, eg:
READ the previous posts and either expand further or make an action/dialogue that is actually beneficial to the plot.
When someone introduces a character, don't ignore it, as they obviously want to be part of the game.
Don't just post for your character. If you have an idea that requires action from someone else, go ahead and type it.
Try not to make everything funny, in doing so, sacrificing the plot. Some funny is good, but too much just isnt standup.

Anyway, i know i may have fallen foul of a couple of those, but only through despair. :)

I agree. Sometimes it didn't make a whole lot of sense but hey! It made me giggle :shake:
