[IMG] how can I make the other party members when I play offline?
I go to "multiplayer" but it seems like I can only play online there...

You will still have to go online just to save the game. Then transfer the save game from MPsave folder to save folder. You will then be able to play it offline.

There are some voicepacks around, most with instructions on how to give them to a character... I think there are some at the SP homepage :)

Actually, I'd like to make my own paladin and give him Keldorn's voice...

Look here for BG2's NPC voicepack collection

Now look for or create a folder called "sounds" in your BG2 Directory. Place the soundsets you downloaded from the link above in there. When you custom make your paladin, Keldorn's voicepack should now be under the male/female voice options.

Actually, you don't have to go online to create them. Just load up the game as normal. Click on Multiplayer, then select LAN. Then select new game. You'll be the only player. Create all your characters and have fun!

Next you can save the game and go into the game directory in windows. In the BGII folder there will be a map <mpsave>, move the savegame from there to <save>, and it will play just like a single player game.

You can't give your PC the NPC dialogs, the game can't actually change it so you can have their dialogs and you can't give them yourself. If you have IDU you can edit existing dialogs though, I would only recommend it if you KNOW what you are doing though, some of the commands are confusing

IDU dialogs can only be applied to .CRE files, not .CHR. Unless he made his characters as party-joinable NPCs, he could not write dialogs for them and actually have them appear in game.

One thing I am curious about. Is there someway that you can find out under what circumstances a voice file is played? For making your own voice sets. Like if one is for a critical hit, or miss, or get hit, stuff like that?

You can also find BG1 voice packs here, if you want to sound like Ajantis, whose voice is a little like Cernd's.
