Recording sounds

Discussion in 'Whatnots' started by Sir Yerril of Morningmist, Jan 13, 2002.

  1. Does anyone know of a program that can be run in the background of the Bioware games and record sound from them?

Or, is there a program that converts the sound files in BG2 to a listenable file?

  3. As cool as that is, what would I do if I wanted to record "my hotel's as clean as..." or "Away with you beggar"?

This kind of depends on your soundcard but...
If you can run it in a window then some cards (such as Creative SoundBlaster 1024 and above) have a recorder with a "What U Hear" (quote) option. Thus you could run the game and hit record just before conversation.
Then you could tidy it up with a wave editor and Bob's your parent's sibling.

Try turning your sound card's DMA either on or off. Change the Khz you record it at.
