i used to have that pic for my wallpaper too.
but now i have a close-up pic of laetitia casta's face.

I didn't realize there were so many IwD geeks around here. Them's a rare breed!

Anyway, I've never been one for desktops. I've traditionally just used a blue or black background. But, for a while I didn't have time to play any gamez, so I loaded up the Fort from IwD1. There's about 2 or 3 rendered images, but I picked the one that shows the chicken pin where all those goblins were, and the destroyed water wheel in the far background.

I still have it saved back, and I've been meaning to load it up on my Linux desktop. Just haven't gotten around to it yet, even though I've taken precautions to make it easy. Go figure!

I have a picture of Alan Rickman as Snape in the Harry Potter movie... the pic has him sitting in a chair and a really cool array of bottles on a table, you know ancient alchemy kind of bottles, and some mysterious signs drawn on a blackboard.
I am planning on changing it, however.

Mine? A default Windows XP wallpaper, I know, I know, but it's not like I see my desktop a lot anyway, I see the colours of Sorcerers.net or Morrowind much much much more.

I rotate Asheron's Call screenshots. I am currently featuring one of mine and Arte's chars in Olthoi Hoarde Nest triumphantly smiting a hoarde of 8 foot tall bug-like things in the pitch dark. Our only source of light was the glow from our magically imbued shields.

I have Lara Croft, Tomb Raider in a leather jacket.

 

At work I keep a picture of my house up as the background. A kind of quick escape when needed. And at home I rotate about ten pictures of Asuka Langley Soryu.

 

Aha! Dorks unite! I have a galaxy background on this computer (M100) and on *my* computer, I have the Windows ME wallpaper option "Cliff in Clouds," although I also have my screenshot of when I killed Firkraag that pops up whenever I turn on or shut off the computer...
