[IMG] Hey, anyone know an easy way to kill the red dragon in the windspear hills? I'm almost to him. Also, the golems?

If you do a search on these boards for 'Firkraag' (that's the dragon's name), you will probably find more ways to kill him than you ever wanted to know. You may also find a lot of commentary on the ethics of your chosen method, but I leave that to the philosophers...

As for the golems - try to take them off from a distance using slings and bullets, and tansheron's bow for example. If this doesn't work - as with clay golems, get yourself a good armor class - and fight him with blunt weapons, +3 if possible. Golems hit hard, so try to keep away from them.

And don't be afraid of firekraag, he's just a puny little dragon: Use haste, protection from fear and protection from fire/ elements scrolls/ spells and fire some magic missile on him, or maybe even spells like lower resistance, pierce magic and such ;)
Some peopple even use sequenced spells on dragons. Just try out, I would try to fight him first without help anyway - since the dragon fights are about the most challenging and interesting fights in the game.

Ahh I can remember my first Firkraag fight as it was yesterday :) So much fun! And the amounts of cursing and reloads is unbelievable. Just cast you enhancement spells and maybe some summons and go whack that big ugly wyrm!

If you have to ask so many questions, Rumblebelly (spoiling the game for yourself) then just go and get a nice walkthrough for god's sake...

Dont use a walkthrough. Play through the game first, if you get stuck somewhere, just do some other stuff, be original. Using walkthrus or asking other people to help, just really spoils the game :/

I agree with Desu, Play the game unspoiled the 1st time through. But, believe me, I understand, I remember fretting so many times if I was doing the 'right thing.' The time I read a walk-through I then answered correct but it robs the suspense. I would go through the game a 'virgin' then scan a walk-though for the 2nd time through and pick up the things you miss. That way you'll love the game TWO times through! Good Hunting.
