When you tell the drow that you can't sleep with her because you are "Eunuch". What does that mean? I think I have an idea...

    Heh, Cadderly :)

Historically (here we go...), a eunuch was a man who's genetalia were removed during his childhood (usually at birth). In most cultures, they served as guards for harems and queens, though in ancient China (and other Asian nations, though to a lesser extent) they were thought to be wise, sagely advisors due to the fact they never felt lust.

Nowadays, most eunuchs are still found in Asian cultures, with the occasional American becoming one due to a freak farm accident.

Sorry to nitpick, but eunuchs are not missing the whole package, just the testicles.

My guess was homosexual. Though, I thought if that were the case, I'd be executed for not comforming to the flesh of the female drow - either that or it wouldn't be a good enough excuse. I mean, she would get what she wanted regardless of what he wanted, right?

It depends on the culture they lost all the apparatus or just the testicles. Usually, the Harem's sentries were the most unlucky, because they lost the whole thing, they must have been unable to have sex, not only to procreate. Eunuches have existed in the Western culture too, mainly throughout the Seventeenth and Eighteenth centuries as baritone opera singers were amputated at ten or eleven in order to keep the high tones of a child's voice. Farinelli il Castrati was one of the most widely known.

But if you have no testicles, you can't have sex. No testicles = no testosterone = no erection. The other part is just there to get sperm form point A to point B.

Aldeth -- while I'm certainly no authority on this subject  , I thought I'd pass along a quote from George Martin's Storm of Swords, which obviously is a work of fiction, so take it for what it's worth.

The scenario involves a marketplace where 2 people are haggling over the purchase of a horde of eunuchs:

Great book, btw -- a little brutal in parts, but a true masterpiece. ;)

he is right btw, they didn't always remove the head, but with a harem, most definetely they did, because its not testosterone that gives you an erection, it has nothing to do with that, if your blood flow increases then you get an erection, well blood flow their anyways, thats why sometimes we get erections when not horny, or i do all the time but thats not to be discussed! lol

Actually, I've heard in my studies that removal of the testes doesn't neccessarily stop the sex drive - they've done that to rapists in the past with no success.

It depends on when it's done. If it's performed on an adult male, there isn't really much of a change (though I'm sure said adult male would tell you differently.) If it's to a boy, he'll never learn a sex drive.

Truth be told, if you don't have testies you can't have an orgasm, so you really DON'T have anything of a sex drive... Once they're gone there's no point...

dont mean you can't get pleasure from pleasuring your woman, or that you can't get it up.

Since the original question has already been answered, and the ensuing discussion is now veering well off topic past the point of no return ...
