[IMG] I have recently started a second Game and would like to try out the Kensai/Mage combo that everyone raves about. I am also trying to play on the evil side of the house.

My question is at which level should I stop progessing as a Kensai, and start as a mage?

I am looking forward to feedback on this one.

I'm doing the same thing Wraith. I dualled at level 9. I suppose that you could dual at level 12 for the extra kensai bonuses, but then it takes an awfully long time to get back to level 12 again with the mage class. There is also the problem with th XP point cap if you're like me and don't remove it. Yup, at level nine you kensai is a fairly good fighting machine (wish mine had more than 16 str, but just the luck of the roll), and yet you still have alot of XP and time to develope your mage class.

  3. I dualled my Kensai at level 9, and he's a killing machine now. 18/00 str. and -14 AC (with magic) is very nice, and when I get Crom Faeyr I WILL BE INVINCIBLE!!!!!! :) (sorry).

    Yep,
I downloaded that little patch so you get bonus items at the adventurer mart and there are some useful (but expensive) items there. I don't remember the name of the cloak I bought (Velencia?) but suddenly my kensai/mage is a dagger dodgin', arrow grabbin', claw breakin', tooth chippin', sword evadin' defensive frontliner! :D

Actually he isn't super duper or anything, but he does have an AC of -5 and can cast spells really quickly.

  7. The robe is the Robe of Vecna, and I think it's -4 casting time. VERY useful.

Hey, I don't think you should be allowed to dual to a mage because you don't know how to spell "MAGIC". j/k, (everyone relax, I know this guy, so please don't get offended)
