Killing everyone when turned into the slayer

anyone have any ideas on what I can do to keep from killing everyone in my party when turned into the slayer? I am in the asylum and when I sleep I wake up in the slayer form and start killing everyone in my party. My saves are pretty darn good so I don't get very many succesfull spells off on my main character.

So far the only thing I have been able to do is pause the game, sleep, save then unpause. If I kill someone I just reload from the save and my character dont turn into the slayer.

Anyone have info when your character is supposed to get back his special abilities?

 

yeah my problem is though that he has boots of speed and goes after Imoen every single time and kills her in about 4 hits. Soon as Imoen goes down he goes after Aerie and Minsc goes beserk and goes after my character. Usually turns into a big mess hehe.

I thought I had read before that at some time you can actually use the slayer form when you wanted to. I don't have that option under special abilities.

 

yeah I guess I can try that hehe. Prolly the reason why I can't get the option is because so far I have never let him complete the transition. I have done the save game before unpausing and just loaded back from there and he never turns on a save. Guess I actually need to let him go through the whole ordeal hehe.

so after it happens once he dont turn every time you sleep? I really hope that is the case because I have been avoiding resting for that very reason.

 

ok thanks Tal. Hehe if I had know that I wouldn't have used up dern near every good scroll I had because I didn't want to risk sleeping.

 

I'm rather suprised that no one said to do this. The best way to sleep and not get your party killed by you is to sleep with a closed door between you. Have your party on one side and you on the other (close enough so you're considered "gathered"). Now when you rest you'll go Slayer and just stand there, unable to attack, and eventually you'll change back, and your party will be safe.

 

Are you talking about the dream sequence or in real life ??

 

Does anyone know if your choices in the dream sequences and alignment effect the first time you change into a slayer at all? My character (dual LE priest7/mage14)turned into the slayer as i started the battle with Bohdi, but I was able the control him normally. He kicked Bohdis ass, and chaged back to normal immediately after. When resting, I sent him to another room with the door shut, but he never changed into the slayer. Did I catch some bug that missed those events, or was it from my choices?

Also, does anyone know if you can change into the slayer after casting tensers transformation, I've tried just to see what it would be like since casting draw upon holy might and tensers transformation after Vamp touching someone puts me at close to 250 hp's and lets him pterry much clobber anything, just doing that feels like cheating, but I just wanted to see what would happen if I changed into the slayer at that point, but it seems to just sit there and the change never happens.

 

I personally have never had any problems with the slayer form. I can use him for a few rounds and then it says I'm starting to lose control, so I change back. I wait a few minutes and do it again. The slayer form is obviously best for a mage, so that's pretty much the only reason I use it. When I play a fighter, I don't really need it.
