Is it worth killing Drizzt's gang or is it better to get them to help kill Bodhi? Cause i'm finding it very, very hard to kill them.
Am i going to get any cool stuff of their dead bodies?

[IMG] Posting that question means you don't have good intensions in the game.

You actually will loot so called "cool" stuff from their dead bodies.

But what will happen later, I don't think you should receive as a spoiler. I hope you get imprisoned for even asking on killing Drizzt, pal!

I've read the books then killed him. He is a pathetic fool... And you can kill Bodhi without his help.

Drizzt's got some cool stuff. I'm not sure about the other people in his band. Everyone here likes Drizzt, because he's the 'star' of all the Icewind books in print. He's the only good Drow in existance, at least, in Shadows of Amn.

Cap him one time, just to find out what he's got. His two main weapons are fairly decent, one is a +5. But you'll find *holding on to them* to be slightly problematic, so you might as well reload before you kill him, and either turn him away or enlist his help.

Killing Drizzt a living legend just to get some gear. Not really in the spirit of a role playing game. Even if you are evil you should treasure good adversaries they keep you sharp. As for Arkhon obviously the ravenloft "heroes" would be more to your taste and you may want to get that chip removed before it restricts arm movement.

If you want some "real" heroes slienad laup, go and read some Tolkien or Robin Hobb because they know how to write you know... And this is a CRPG, not a storyteller game. I'm a roleplayer for six year now, not a powergamer, but I play some storyteller game, if I want a good RPG experience, not Baldurs gate II. But you're right, I don't like primitive and unoriginal fantasy settings like Forgotten realms.

[IMG] Well, the way I see it, Drizzt is a powerplayer character and deserves to be killed by powergamers :p heh and while am at it, so does Elminster and co. lol

Besides, Salvatore's Drizzt books and his character failed to impress me. Well, yeah the darkelf trilogy wasn't bad.

Anyways, seriously, killing npc's just for their eq is evil and should be avoided by non evil chars.

PS: I didn't kill drizzt of course for my char was somewhat goody goody.

Yes the dark elf trilogy is not going to make anyones top ten fantasy literature list but it isn't bad for a light read and BGII is enjoyable for the same reason. Tolkien's works have been borrowed from so much in so many books they are household, it isn't a bad thing as it has raised everyones standards. BGII may not be exactly D & D but the principle is the same if you go in thinking "entertain me" you will probably come out thinking it sucks.

exactly. I guess you can motivate murdering him if you play an evil character, or well a very evil character. But my neutral evil gnome for example, won't try to kill drizzt when meeting him. What's the use? It's more to my advantage to use him for bodhi's lair. Now, if someone was paying me to however, that would be an entirely different situation :)

The game manual tells you what drizzt himself is wearing, in mine it's page 30.

You don't need his help with bodhi, you can also call the order of the radiant heart and the shadow thieves for help

[IMG] You may kill Drizzt of course just to show tactics an' excitement in fighting a hard foe,:D 'cause your PC is too powerful and haughty as Irenicus has got to be nothing before you...

But surely you'll get to find your fearless action turns out to be stupid and futile someway as the battle trophy is licensed to Drizzt and his co. only, btw you loose a great helper too.:flaming:

So as you realise it, you'd do it once and never more!:heh:

NO! To hell with Drizzt, kill him and his annoying band (well if you're taking the evil route that is).

They have rediculous magical powers and resistances, and should be killed simply out of principal. And no you can't hang on to their stuff, but you sure as hell can sell it, and no one shows up to collect the cash that you got from it.

If you ask for his help be prepared to have him steal TONS of experience points from you... you don't get the xp for anything he lands a killing blow on... and that could be *hint* something really major.

[IMG] I agree with ArtEChoke. All drow deserve to die(exept Viconia). You get lots of XP from killing him. And if you want help with Bodhi go to the Paladins or the shadow theives if you worked for them. I like the books about him though.

  20. Kill Drizzt Do'Urden?
are you crazy? He's probably the only surface tolerating, good-loving drow that exists in Toril - excepting Viconia of course.
and to top it off, you lose a lot of reputation points as well, and you don't even get to keep the stuff too...
