Kangaxx duplicating characters

Hello everyone, although i have been a big fan of Sorcerer's i have never needed to post a message as all topics are covered some where on the site.
However, i encountered something very weird and wondered if any one els had experianced it.

I am playing a multiplayer game with five characters i have made up with the addition of Minsc. i also have various mods installed.
Whilst fighting the demiliche my half orc beserka became imprisoned. after i had kicked Kangaxx's butt one of my mages casted freedom to bring my lost character back.
Unfortunately he came back with a hostile red circle around him and began beating up the other party members.
i quickly left the chamber and was not persued.
Unsure what to do now i reinstalled the lost character from a previously saved game. With the group back the way it was i was curious to see if the "evil" character was still around. He was so my party killed him. On his battered corpse was all his equipment. This meant i now had two silver swords, two firetooth crossbows etc.
Has any one ever experienced anything like this before? Was it a one off bug or is a fault that can be exploited to duplicate one off items?

That the berserker came out as hostile might not be bug, only if it lasts long. The item dublication trick is not a bug, only a common exploit. This can be done by placing the items of one character to ground/other guy and then kicking him out of party or just by killing the character and then importing him back to game.

 

he could easily be charmed when he was still under the effect of the imprisonment spell
