    Hello

Can someone tell me if the Cleric/Ranger has acces to all the Druid spells as soon as he gets the approriate Cleric level, or only if he both has approriate Ranger and Cleric level? (And ergo: can't cast Druid spell higher than 3rd level.)
What about Dualclassing? Does he get all the Druid spells for taking one level of ranger? Or only for those Ranger levels that have acces to the spells? (I.E.: Lvl 1 Ranger / Level X Cleric: acces to Cleric AND Druid spell; or lvl 8 Ranger / level X Cleric: acces only to first level Druid spells, of course on top of the Cleric spells.)

    Thanks in advance!

You need at least 8 levels to get the first druid spells and the spells are limited to the ones that the ranger can cast. I believe that they only go to level 3 as well.

Should be quite easy to find out. Create a cleric/ranger, start the tutorial and look into the spellbook.

TrueBlueAussie and thetruth seem to contradict each other. Any idea on who's right?
The reason I don't test it, is because the game isn't installed at the moment and it takes a lot of time to do so on my PC.
Thanks for the answers so far, though.:)

With a Ranger/Cleric you get access to all Divine spells (druidic and clerical) no matter how high your Ranger level is (and spell slots don't stack, you won't get an extra level 1 spell because you're Ranger 8/Cleric X).

The only Ranger kit that can be dualled is Beastmaster, the only Cleric kit that can be dualled is Priest of Lathander (not so much incentive to dual a Cleric into a Ranger but it can be done).

Interesting I have never tried to dual class a stalker or an archer before so man was I suprised when I tried to! On further strangness why cant an archer put more than 2 stars in slings? They are supposed to be up to GM in ranged and only prof with everything else but slings go up to 2 stars weird.

Mm, my Ranger2/Cleric dual class MP created character (from Easu TuTu) does gain some druidic spells, BUT not Iron Skins, should he normally get it? Is it due to Divine Remix, or is it that C/Rs do not get Iron Skins normally? I can fix it via SK easily though.

In IWD 1 with the expansion, you nned to build ranger levels in order to open the ability to cast from druid spheres of influence. However in BG2 I think even two levels of ranger (via dual-classing) is enough.

Thanks, I guessed so. It makes sense too, rangers normally do not gain Ironskins, yes?

^Yes. So rangers normally only have minor access to spheres of influence, thus a cleric/ranger can not gain access to fifth level spells from druid spheres? Weird, for my guy has Insect Plague. Oh well...I like him bruised and battered anyway. (otherwise game becomes easier and you know I do not want that!)

    No.

Single class Rangers can't cast higher level spells!; DC or MC can.

Bringing back this thread because this has me confused. I am absolutely sure that my third character in SoA (patched, unmodded) was a Stalker lvl 9 -> Cleric. It was a great character that had all the druid and cleric spells, could Hide in Shadows and backstab (with club or staff) for 3x damage.

Does ToB change the rules and stop this dual from being allowed?

I thought only plain rangers could dual to cleric even in SOA-only games, but apparently I was wrong. With TOB games, however, only plain rangers (and maybe beast masters) can dual to a cleric.

In SoA all types of Rangers can Duel to cleric

I admit that i sometimes had to cheat to give myself the ability scores I needed to duel from a ranger to a cleric but just to try it one day I made a ranger character of each type (including all of the kits), and duel classed it over to a cleric. The only downside is some of them don't work well as a cleric. My grand master (5 star) crossbow Archer couldn't use his favored weapon anymore.
