To make it easier than the person above me said; Splunge: Yes, you can.

Get the character into your party and change them to whatever you'd like... Used to do this all the time... (Hated the fact that Imoen was Thief/Mage. I wanted pure thief. Never a problem)

 

Several small additions have been made, including:

-Mage Duel in the Non-WeiDU section
-The Tortured Soul in the Non-WeiDU section
-Removed Improved Drizzt Encounter, as it is now part of the Improved Battles Mod
-Several Spanish mods by Riojano et al
-Food Feature mod in the Non-WeiDU section

-ZotFix in the Non-WeiDU section
-MetalFan49's Baldur's Gate 2 Customizations
-FWP Mac mods
-Oversight for SoA
-Tashia's Happy Patch

@Moderators - Any chance this could be stickied? It's sometimes hard to locate it in the pile of other threads.

 

I think this would be great if it didn't need to be bumped. Its helped me alot and I'm sure it has been the same for others - so I give my humble thanks for your efforts icelus.

 

I'll second icelus' motion for a "sticky".

would it be possible for SP to host the mods(only those less than 1MB) that are on 3ddownloads.com
Because it's a real pain just to download one tiny 200KB file... at least 25 minutes of boredoom are always guaranteed.
I can perfectly understand if the answer is no, as SP bandwidth isn't free. But it would be nice

@Boo&Minsc: Well, the ZotFix is an old mod and not all that user-friendly. It's not hosted anywhere on the 'net, so I threw it up on my server for the time being. Here is the info from the readme file:

ZOTFIX 1.4 - ToB Version

This mini-mod started as an attempt to beef up a few of the "have-not" characters in the original BG2 (starting with wizard slayers). It then expanded somewhat to include a few 'ultimate' weapons other than hammers and two-handed swords, and in the end grew to over 240 custom files for items, creatures and character kits. Install and enjoy.

Because this mini-mod includes some new kits, it must be installed over a "clean" (i.e. patched but unhacked) copy of BG2:ToB. If this is not done, the new and adjusted kit texts will be garbled. THIS MINIMOD CARRIES NO GUARANTEE OF COMPATIBILITY WITH ANY OTHER HACKS.

IMPROVED CHARACTER KITS:

Wizard Slayer:
- seriously increased magic resistance
- can use potions of healing & antidotes
- ultimate wizard-slayer weapon (long sword)
- a few generally cool and useful armour and weapons

Single-class Cleric Kits:
- improved innate abilities
- kit-specific weapons


ALL-NEW CHARACTER KITS:

Sylvan Knight (elf ranger):
- stoneskin, massive spell disruption at high levels

Shadow (gnome thief):
- innate illusion abilities, combat bonuses

Stoneguard (dwarf fighter):
- bonuses to CON and AC
- damage resistance

Hunter (halfling thief):
- combat bonuses, extra attacks

Anti-Paladin (human fighter):
- fear, control undead, death gaze
- deathbringer assault at level 20 (ToB version only)


ADJUSTED ITEMS:

Ring of Gaxx:
- evil characters only
- can't buy the anti-magic scrolls at Ribuld's (have to find anti-imprisonment items)

Shield of Balduran:
- saving throw bonuses, does not reflect beholder rays!

Carsomyr Holy Avenger:
- no dispelling, abilities focused against demons, dragons & undead

Horn of Blasting:
- bards only, decent damage

Bastard Swords:
- all useable either one- or two-handed
- generally shuffled around and/or improved

Throwing Axes:
- one attack per round when thrown, allows strength bonuses

The Equalizer:
- true neutral only, greatly improved

Staff of the Archdruid:
- best weapon in the game

Tansheron's Bow, Gesen Bow, Wave Halberd, Human Flesh, The Night's Gift, Rashad's Talon, Mana Bow, Dakkon Zerth, Short Sword of Backstabbing
- all improved


NEW ITEMS:

Thorn +4: bastard sword, rangers only

Vortex +3: long sword (attacks as +5), wizard slayers only

Cleaghan's Frenzy +4: battleaxe, dwarves only

Unholy Reaver +5: two-handed sword, anti-paladins only

Blood Drinker +3: vampiric scimitar, evil only

Singing Blade +4: long sword, bards only


OTHER GOODIES:

New "ultimate" (+3 or better) weapons for spears, daggers, long swords, bastard swords, scimitars, slings, clubs and darts

Any chance of adding the Forgotten Wars Item Pack? I forgot the link, but I'm sure it's listed on FWP's mod list.

 

Actually, I believe the FW team removed the Item Pack until many of its bugs are eliminated. It is no longer available from the FW homepage.

 

Is there any where you can download the Morituri and Runic Bladesinger kits, where you don't have to be a member of that site? I'm really curious as to what is in each class and want to download them. Any help much appreciated!

Description:

This mod will add an elven fighter kit - Runic Bladesinger:

Advantages:
- Bonus +1 do dexterity and charisma
- Can cast "Symbol" and "Power Word" spells
- Can also cast Sun Beam, Protection from magical energy, shield, protection from petrification, evil and missiles. He gain new spells with levels.
- Bonus +2 AC on 1, 5, 15, 20, 30, 35 lv
- He gets a katana on 1lv, and katana +1 on 5 lv (request of TuTu players)
- Immunity to 1lv spells on 20 lv
- Immunity to 2lv spells on 25 lv
- Free action and backstab immunity on 15lv

Disadvantages
- A -1 penalty to strength and constitution
- Item usage as for kensai
- He can only put 5* in katanas and 2* in one weapon fighting

 

I've been looking for ever but can't quite find the Official ToB patch for Macintosh. Can someone please help. The one from Bioware doesn't work...
