[IMG] I've had 1 love dialogue since the expansion started, and it seems to be stuck on that. I've tried messing with the LOVETALK and EXPLOVETALK value, and tried advancing the JAHEIRAROMANCE value, nothing seems to work, regardless of the location I try these things in.

If anyone has suggestions or a guide for ToB romance quests to point me to, it would be most appreciated.

    Did you try sleeping outside?

I've never gotten as for as you have, but it seems like a solution to a lot of problems.

The romances in ToB are primarily event driven, not time driven like in SoA. In order for any of the NPC romance dialogues to trigger, certain things have to have happened. For the most part, these dialogues occur shortly after significant battles.

Ah, event driven romance. That's what I needed to hear. Now I can go about the story without fear of missing my elf-woman. Thanks a million.

[IMG] You haven't advanced JaheiraRomanceActive to 3 have you?

I think JaheiraRomance needs to be one, but I'm not sure. I'll have to check myself or wait until Extremist surfaces on here next.

How far had your relationship progressed before the expansion pack? What was JaheiraRomanceActive in your final save from Shadows of Amn? What was the lovetalk value then?

If the active romance variable is anything other than 2, then there is no romance. The only way the romances in ToB will progress is if the variable is 2 (the NPC is in love with your character).

For the record, a variable of 0 means that no romance is even allowed; 1 means the romance is progressing; 3 means the romance is screwed.

Yes, but is it actually worthwile to restart the Jaheira romance in ToB? I mean, is there any impact on gameplay (new quests, makes it more interesting, etc.)?
I was able to finish the romance succesfully in SoA, but right before finish -in Hell - Jaheira got imprisoned by some Beholders, and I think it screwed up the romance (what it is with imprisonment victims geting kicked out of the party, anyhow? you are still in the party if you die, but not if you are imprisoned? this doesn't make sense). So now I am thinking if I should go to try to figure out how the console works, and fix the thing, or just leave it be.
By the way, I am looking for a sort of simple yes or no, not too many details (it's the first time I am playing ToB and I want to be surprised :)
    Thanks!

If you want the romance to come to its conclusion then yes, it is worthwhile. There are no new romance-associated quests but rather it's more development of the relationship as you move closer and closer to your destiny. I thought the romance interactions were a bit more thought provoking. Your responses will affect more than just the romance too.
